My UCF Football Bona Fides:

I have seen the Knights 3 times with a (1-2) record. I actually saw them win their first game as an FBS team in 1996 vs. William & Mary (FCS) @ Citrus Bowl Stadium, and I have seem them lose to Miss. State in the 2007 Liberty Bowl and @ Cincinnati in 2015.

My Liberty Bowl Bona Fides:

I have been to the Liberty Bowl 5 times. I saw Alabama beat UCLA in 1976, Louisville beat Mich. State in 1993, Miss. State beat UCF in 2007, Tulsa beat Iowa State in 2012 and Iowa State beat Memphis in 2017.

When I go to a Neutral Bowl Game like the 2007 Liberty, I like to find a t-shirt with both teams on it, but this game only had individual Team-Liberty Bowl shirts. So, I picked UCF since I went to High School in Orlando and have family and friends who have graduated from UCF.

True story. Had a young UCF student behind me wearing sandals on a cold AF day in Memphis! lol. He was too drunk to feel his toes anyway.
