Nash had 20G 26A and Thornton had 10G and 44A (in 44 games) playing together and they won the championship.

I'd KILL to get them back together. If Thornton would consider it, I'd trade almost anyone (except Nash) to make it happen.



But more importantly, I'd like the Jackets ownership to ask why that guy they had under contract just coached a different team into the second round.

Yeah it was a tough draw, but realistically I'm not sure it would have made any difference if the Sharks had gotten Chicago or Vancouver. Speed absolutely destroys this team and all 3 of those teams have loads of it.

It's going to be an interesting offseason in San Jose. I have no idea what Wilson will have up his sleave this time. Honestly I think it's time for him to go. Probably won't happen though.

I think it all depends on if Doug Wilson is fired or not. Wilson's idea since he's been GM in San Jose is to try and build around Thornton and Marleau. Going back to the lockout, the core of the team is mostly the same, with the majority of the turnover being the bottom line depth guys. It hasn't worked, but I honestly don't think Wilson will blow things up. If Wilson gets fired though, then we could see someone else come in and make some big changes. I think McLellan will be gone regardless of what happens with Wilson, and just for the record, I don't think Wilson will be fired. But we'll see what happens. It has the potential to be a very interesting offseason in San Jose.

This loss is a lot less painful than the last few years. Sharks battled to the end, but just didnt have it this year. Blues are young, fast, strong, and GOOD. GL to their fans even though I dont think any will read this post.
