Judging by the reactions I'm seeing in some circles, I take it Jordan Poole ripped out Ja Morant's MCL with his bare hands and ate it on live TV.
Yep but before he ate it, he smothered that bad boy in some tasty spicy bbq sauce.

Grizz just dont have the depth or experience. Warriors have at least 5 guys that are good, and experienced players. Grizz have 2-3 good players and none have extensive experience in the postseason. This is a good series for Memphis to learn from. Maybe they get 1 more game - but I kind of doubt it.

Grizz arent ready for the big time yet. Warriors are healthy and have everyone on the same page and know exactly what they have to do.
warriors have their 2 best point defenders out. hopefully iggy makes an appearance in this series

This was never going to be career in jeopardy type of injury. He is dragging this now

Of course this injury isn’t career threatening.

But plays like the one Brooks made absolutely 100% can lead to a career ending injury.

So Kerr isn’t wrong.

Does Taylor Jenkins seriously believe that Poole weakly pulling on Ja's knee would cause an injury? LOL. Hearing Jenkins talk, you would think that Poole put Ja in a MMA submission hold.

Jenkins is playing media angles just like Kerr was after the Brooks play.

No issue with either coach doing this to try to protect their team.

Difference being, the Brooks play was reckless and dangerous. The Poole play was almost surely incidental contact.

Neither player was trying to hurt anybody with their respective plays. But Brooks deserved the discipline he got and Jordan Poole doesn’t deserve any.

I see the Warriors throwing this one away again at the end. Just a missed layup by Morant at the end of game one from this one being a sweep.
Memphis in 6 or Memphis in 7?

Hey @Montalban you were right, they have no answer for Morant. Will it be Memphis in 6 or Memphis in 7?
Yeah, at least I was right about that part. Non-contact knee injuries are always bad. Hopefully Morant is out for the rest of the series and then makes a complete recovery

Hopefully Morant is out for the rest of the series so warriors in 6. If he’s back on Monday, Grizz in 7

Incredibly lame thing to say.

Poole wished Ja to be back in game 4 as any competitor would.

I think this is true. It happened too quickly, but I think that those who believe it to be dirty would be thinking that he was planning on hitting him anywhere he could and then he just happened to be where it was easiest. But this assumes that he’s not paying attention to basketball but rather just trying to find an opportunity to hurt someone specific. It wasn’t a close game at that point, but I would guess that it’s still more important to go after the ball. Morant shouldn’t have been in the game in a 25+ game with five to go. Especially if he got hurt earlier.

Poole’s not like Grayson Allen who looks for opportunities, even if he were upset towards Brooks like the Bulls players were with Allen. Even then, wait to Game 4 with Brooks, not Morant. (I don’t feel revenge should take into factor who would be biggest to knock out. Brooks would be similar to Payton II in value to the team.)

I think everything from Jenkins, Ja, and myself is from Kerr being the whiny bitch he was after game 2. The guy been whiny for a while now. Bitched about Smart making a basketball play earlier this year, bitched about playing 2 games in Denver in the same week due to a covid postponement, and now this.

The "broke the code" comment was BS and he took it too far. Brooks play wasn't the first and damn sure won't be the last flagrant 2 in NBA history. Doesn't mean any code was broken.

I see why MJ punched him in the face.

Now THIS I agree with. Yes, Kerr is huge bitch

I am not a big Kerr fan. I don’t really question his basketball knowledge, middling players often make the best coaches (they had to work twice as hard to achieve half the results of the superstars, typically).

But he is way too vocal about all kinds of topics. I will grant that his upbringing and specific life experiences give him a bit more wiggle room to speak, but he alienates a LOT of people with his outspokenness.

Stop it.

If you watch the breakdowns by doctors, it wasn’t the grab that hurt Ja’s knee.

It was the incidental contact either on Ja’s close out on Klay, or Poole’s initial knee to knee contact when he first swiped at the ball.
