lol very true...

though the city loved him for it.

Also says a lot about Lebron where he makes someone fly out across the country to not even give them an ounce of respect - especially considering that Lebron looked to have grown significantly during his time in Miami. Who knows what his career looks like if he had stayed in Cleveland this whole time.

The bus system here in Tampa is dreadful, I'd never use it, I'd rather just take an uber to work.

But I have a car, that I bought, with my mom's Floridan basement money.
Great for you...most of us grown ups have multiple cars. SMH

I think there was plenty of tension between those two- they both benefited from each other- but i think both felt they deserved the lions share of the credit

after Riley called lebron out in that presser- that was prob the proverbial nail in the coffin.

Now I know you're posting from your mom's basement. What an idiot.

There's no way he's posting from his Mom's basement. I have family that live in Florida & homes there don't have basements. Homes w/ an ocean front view are on stilts & other homes are built directly on concrete slab w/ a small crawl space underneath.

and you ride a bus, lmfao

Why would I need multiple cars? I don't have a wife or family, and my car is basically brand new.

How'd he call Lebron out in the presser? Iirc, he challenged Lebron to not leave and finish what he started - which was build a dynasty in Miami. Riley's suspected behavior came true, Lebron went back to Cleveland.

That article you brought up in no way puts Lebron in a positive light. Riley, as all Heat fans know can probably be the biggest asshole walking this planet. But that's part of what made him successful. Riley doesn't have this false bravado to him that Lebron does. Seeing the description by Riley makes my dislike for Lebron, personally seem valid now.

He changed his mind

When [Pat Riley] describes his reaction to Wade's leaving, it's always in terms of how sad it makes him feel, and while his emotions toward James' return to Cleveland were primal in the months, and even years, afterward, now he understands why LeBron had to leave.

"He went home because he had to go home," he says. "It was time. It was really time for him to go home, in his prime. If he's ever gonna do anything in Akron again, this was the time to do it. Otherwise, he'd have had a scarlet letter on his back the rest of his whole life."
Pat Riley's end game

It is what it is. But if she's never stepped foot in Florida she shouldn't be telling a Florida resident that homes have basements.

I have no idea where he lives. But why lie about where you're currently located? Although even if he doesn't live in Florida you have to stop arguing w/ him about basements in Florida. I've been to Florida many times & can tell you he's correct in saying homes there don't have basements.

Pat Riley's end game

I've said it before, in hindsight it was the right decision for Lebron to leave when he did given the opportunity. His career could end next week and he's basically accomplished everything he needed to do. But the manner he left, ie stringing Riley along and hampering us from making any moves that offseason was my complaint. He should've just told Riley he was leaving and that'd be the end of it. He strung Riley along so other free agents could go elsewhere and Riley didn't have room to build another roster.
