I'm hoping for a California team so I won't miss the beginning of the games while I'm at work. Watching a playoff game on the DVR isn't very exciting.

I don't mind playing Chicago, I don't think Niemi is going to let his former team beat him and he's played incredible against them minus that last game. I'd rather the Sharks play Vancouver than the Ducks, the Ducks are one of those teams that give the Sharks problems. Now I'm not saying the Ducks will win it's just they play the Sharks better than anyone in the NHL in my honest opinion.

I am sort of the other way on this - I think LA, PHX, and NSH are our easier opponents for various, well stated elsewhere, reasons.

If we are going to screw this up again, I would rather we do it early. Lets do the acid test early, get this team humming in the post season and roll over the softer opponents further in the playoffs.

Sharks can and should beat Phx, Nash, Ana, LA or Dal within 7 games if healthy (Clowe, Seto, Nichol - oh, and they can leave out Huskins and would be better off ). They will always have a tough time with the Hawks - they just don't match up well at all. If the Hawks get Detroit in the 1st round that would be excellent - possible 2nd rounder vs. the Nucks for the Hawks if they get thru Det while the Sharks would take on one of those other teams above. Then SJ has a serious chance after Van and Chi beat each other up. Murphy's Law says a big "no" to this scenario ever happening lol.

Nice choke job by Dallas... they were up but ended up losing in regulation to clinch their tee times.

It would have been neat to be able to say "hey, look, our entire Division made it to the playoffs" but I'd rather have Vancouver play Chicago than Dallas (who they owned and destroyed during the regular season this year).
