Last thing about that night. What is pretty cool is it is actually the first time they get a chance to wear their Jackets. Only they don't allow them to take them that night to prevent them from getting damaged and dry clean them again before their actual induction ceremony.

I'm trying real hard to think but I'm pretty sure the only athlete I've had my pic taken with was Jimmy Jackson after a Sacramento Queens game at Staples. Met C-Webb and Vlade that night. Shocked how friendly C-Webb was and Vlade was a total dick. Might have just been in a bad mood but I said something to him about wanting to see him back in the purple 'n gold and he gave me a total FUCK YOU look. It's always shocking next to stand next to a man that tall though. It's freakish.

Ok now you sparked a new one. I have been introduced to a lot of athletes due to my father's profession. I have never been the star studded guy that goes and gets autographs. I always felt it wasn't right due to my position. That weekend was an exception. I am a huge Irvin fan.

So the story goes I walk about to Deion, my all time favorite athlete and begin to raise my hand with phone in hand asking for a picture. He cooly, calmly, completely collected reaches out his and pushes mine down and walked away. It was FUCKING HILARIOUS. In his defense it was not at the right time and place as they had hours of autograph time and this was at his exclusive after party co-hosted with Faulk and musical presentations by Snoop and Nelly.

yeah, I stood courtside before a Heat Mavs game back in 2006 and Keith Van Horn practicing corner three pointers right near me.. Incredible just how much bigger they are when you're standing right near them..
