This is another brutal first round matchup. Nos' offense is insane, though Smitty has the corners to slow. In the end, I think Nos would score just a little more, but it's s lot closer than first glance

This is an absurd first round matchup. I had both in the top 3 separated by 1 point. I'll go with Smitty because he actually has the corners to slow Nos' WRs and the rest of his team is slightly better. Emphasis on slightly. So close

I love Smitty's team I just believe I have to many weapons on offense for him to keep up. Just my opinion...

Nos graded the highest in my rankings, but this is where that kind of gets lost... As pointed, Smittys secondary is solid... Having Burfict in the middle actually helps more than hurts as strength of Faulk is his speed runs and catches... The Nos's line is solid, but they face sack masters... This is close because of the offense Nos has but I think Warner pulls it out at the end...

I'm going with Smitty. I think his Dline trashes Nos. Oline - and Roethlisberger (who I have rated as the worst starting QB, yes I rated Wilson one position higher) won't have time to get to those weapons. His only saving grace is Faulk as an outlet/screen, but those can be easily nuetralized if it is known that is his only option.

On the other side, Smitty's Oline isn't gonna get much push against Nos' dline either, but it'll hold it own alright.

Smitty wins what would be a fairly low scoring affair, something like 20-14.

I agree on the corners, but the pass rush combined with the corners was a focus of my draft.

No DT has more sacks than Randall. The only DE with more sacks than Taylor, is Michael Strahan on the other side of the line. Along with Donald, who had 9 sacks and was one of only three rookies to be named to the Pro Bowl this year.

Plus, one of the best 3 or so defensive playmakers in this Mock, Troy Polamalu.

It wasn't just one thing, I just only listed one thing because I didn't want to write a six paragraph write up (I had started one on game one and just thought it would be too much and so went with simpler write ups).

First, it's i'm running a 3 - 4 so it's comparing pass rushers to pass rushers. I love John Randle being i'm a Vikings fan but it just seems to me like you pretty much based your entire vote on the fact that a guy who never averaged a sack a game in any season of his career is going to cause so much problem for my team i'm only gonna score 14 points. Oh yeah, where did he finish his career again... Yet you failed to address that no team in this draft is covering Moss, Calvin and Torry for 60 minutes no chance no how no way. 14 points lolzzzz...

I like Stokes and not just because he voted for me... I get a lot of "in mock drafts offense wins" but then people complain about how people vote unrealisticly... But let's be honest, Smitty is pretty much built to beat Nos... Take into consideration all of his defensive lineman were usually at least doubled most times especially on pass plays... Here you can not do that... Then as good as Nos's WR corp is and TE HB combo the defensive speed dictates Nos hikes the ball and just launches it or throw screens... I think it will work enough to get 4 TDs vs this team, but then Nos's DBs are GARBAGE... The mixture of Smittys ability on offense is the difference... James can take it up the gut some and slow down an already slower pass rush just enough to get an edge IMO... I WISHED I would faced Smitty because IMO my team is opposite of Nos but in this matchup the speed of his overall defense is too much...
