Road Hole #17 that day was playing 4.80 stroke average. That could be the hardest par 4 in the world.

I’ll say this too, just watching this, players were way better dressed in 1984 than any point up until a few years ago when golf gear got really athletic.

The Open does an amazing job with galley theater. Incredible crowds.

This is from the 1988 PGA championship. I just joined this club in April. It’s hard AF. Took me a few rounds just to break 80. Old timer told me the wind wasn’t even kickin and Oklahoma wind is no joke
