1984 Draft Redux

What happens if in 1984 the Houston Rockets use the Portland Trailblazers draft philosophy. They had just drafted 7'4" Ralph Sampson the year before and could have thought they had no need for a center and passed on Hakeem and taken Jordan. Portland would have then landed Olijuwan and Chicago would have been cursed with the injury riddled career of Bowie (or could he have stayed healthy and dominant like in college in Chicago).

How does Jordan's career proceed being in the West with the dominant Lakers and the reunited Phi Slamma Jamma in Portland? Does Ewing see more Finals with Jordan out of the East?
