The Oscars is making me want to see that again, can't argue with that cinematography and giving what felt like the average experience of a WWI soldier.

Probably the best cinematography I can recall seeing in my lifetime.
I rarely get caught up in this aspect of a film, but this one stood out for sure. The Revenant was another one, but I thought 1917 was done even better. It's literally another leading character in the film IMO.

I just want Joker to win Best Picture because it would be something though if it were to win and to see how Scorsese reacts since a comic book movie beat him in the biggest category there is.

Just saw it tonight. Absolutely loved it. Cinematography so well done. The scenes once they get into the German trenches and how errie it all was especially in the artillery grounds with all the purposely destroyed weapons was soo well done. You felt you were on such a ride with the way they filmed it to look like one moving take.
I call it movie of the year. Soo well done.
