And here I was thinking that 50% of the houses in Kelowna were owned by Albertans (err that probably explains why Albertans are hated there).

/Just trying to support the Kelowna economy

yup lol ... and they have a reputation for running people over with their petro dollar souped up F150's

/market is tanking there (everywhere?) right now btw

yeah, I'm not surprised (it really got overinflated in Kelowna). Vancouver had their worst June real estate sales in something like 23 years?!?

sorry for tangent but I cant believe how many for sale signs are out there right now in Burnaby ... media says prices havent reduced yet ... but the signs saying "price reduced" tell a different story

in Kelowna, i saw a small knockdown on enterprise ... high traffic road ... but excellent location (imo being someone who grew up in the city) ... $229000 ... yowza!

$229,000?!? Probably valued at over $500,000 four years ago.

right, i just meant the instant the offer-sheet was signed those would be your options.. then you'd have a full year to get him inked long term

i see lots of reports that prices are being reduced all over in the media. I as well see all the signs. its going to be a buyers market soon if not already.

idk about that ... media seems like they are behind the curve ... everything ive read and seen on the news is them saying "prices are still holding but actual sales are down" (which like you agreed, the bold doesnt seem to be the case)

On Wednesday, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver released June figures showing sales down 27.6 per cent from a year earlier and 17.2 per cent from just May.

The benchmark price index was up 1.7 per cent from a year ago but the city has already seen prices drop and economists expect more declines to come.

Toronto joined in with its own negative results Thursday as sales in the city declined 13 per cent from a year ago while the entire Greater Toronto Area was off 5.4 per cent.

Like Vancouver, Toronto prices are still holding firm — actually still rising at a reasonable clip — but many, like Roy, wonder whether it's time get out at the top.

Pekka Rinne must be thinking, "Thank God I make a lot of money.....because my numbers are gonna suck".
