Because Nebraska hasn't had a deficit at the end of regulation (or overtime!) in its last six games.

Because we don't have any decent receivers and Nebraska's defense leads the country in fewest passing yards allowed, which means we likely can't come back from behind, but Nebraska has not only the most come-from-behind-double-digit victories in FBS this season, but the most in any season since 2000.

Because we can't convert third downs more than one in three tries.

Because our kicker has trouble from anything over forty yards and isn't even consistent on shorter ones.


I'm not saying we are dead in the water, or that we don't deserve to play in the game, or any of that. We're Wisconsin, and all we need is one hole up the middle to score, and our defense is letting up less than twenty points a game, and we're getting #44 back. But we're also a team that, if you go by records (and ignore postseason bans), would be slotted to play in the Mieneke Car Care Bowl and is playing against a team that would have a reasonable shot at an at-large BCS game. I think we should get more than three fucking points.

And yes, I spelled Meineke wrong, but you know what? I don't want to get to know that bowl game well enough to be able to spell it right. There's a name for schools like that. It's MINNESOTA.
