Are they usually awake? lol

well, they've woken up a bit the last two games, and finally were fully awake when down 21 Saturday, holding Cal to 27 yards the rest of the way and coming back with 20 points.

But yeah, we have a history of not being awake at 11am games.

Could be like the NFL and wait until 1 ET to start, it's 10 on the West Coast then so people would be up by then or just getting up.

ND never plays at noon, but I actually dislike when they play in prime time because I miss the other good games of the day. 2:30 kickoff is perfect.

I would hate to see what Ohio St's offense looks like when they play an 11 am game. geez

They need to do away with them. I understand the need for TV revenue, but the school's need to support their fan bases. They are what built the product. They could easily make the tv schedule so there's no 11am kickoffs.

It's pretty bad for OU as the RRSO is traditionally an early game. Can I please be drunk for an OU game? How about a season opener that isn't on PPV? I like to fucking sleep in on Saturday, waking up before the tornado siren test at noon is a sin.

There's only so many TV channels showing games. Cutting away 1/3 of the time slots means less TV exposure for a lot of teams and then will cost the schools millions of dollars in TV contracts. Most adults have to be up before 8am to get ready for work and students before 9 am to go to class. It's not that much of an inconvenience to do that another day. Or just don't go and sleep in and watch on TV. I used to work parking for Michigan State games and whether it was an 12pm or 3:30 game had to be at my post by 6am and people would already be there.

The people with tickets to the games have to either show up the day before or get up early as fuck. They can't have a nice lunch and walk around before the game. It's shit.

Rumor has it that several B1G teams prefer to begin play at 12 noon (The game I attended at the 'Shoe as a Bucknut-for-a-Day started at noon in 2012).

So, there's an argument for OK - the alternative B1G games.

Just move some games to 1. Not hard to do.

There were people from Oregon week 2 that went to both the Oregon St v Mich and Oregon vs Mich St game. Never would have happened without a 12pm game. If you panty waists can't wake up early, don't buy the tickets.

And then you shift all the 3:30 games to 5:30, and all the 8pm games to 10pm. So now you lose the prime time games and no night games on the east coast because how can you take kids to games that get out at 2am?

I live on the east coast and am usually up around 8:00 AM-9:00AM on Saturdays.

That's already a good 3-4 hours of pre-game BS I have to sit through before the 1st slate of games start so I'm good with 12:00 PM ET start times.

This problem will take care of itself if OU can ever get back to winning conference championship outright and being a consistent legitimate contender for a CFP slot. Then we'll be back in prime time, baby. Until then....... :gaah:

No you don't, its ok if some games overlap. You can def move some games to 4:30 though. They end at 7 so you still have your 8pm prime timers to focus on.

4:30 games would end at 8. No football game goes 2.5 hours. But what you guys are asking for is the complete elimination of 11am games. So fans at home are going to be stuck watching games they don't want to see for 1-2 hours for the 1pm game to end? I'm sure no fans would have a problem with that.

im fine with them. Only time they really suck is when a west coast team has to come east and play the early game on top of it.

I was referring to the 3:30 games ending before 8. The 4:30 ones would be ending almost exactly around 8 so it works. The solution to that is to prioritize the 12 game on espn to be followed by a good 3:30 game. Television companies are in the business to work these things out. That's their job. They can easily make it so the good 3:30 games are seen on ESPN and ABC etc.

You have 4 stations playing 12 hours of games, if you move one of the games back 2 hours, how doesn't that run over into the next game?
