Had Ole Miss not chased the points they would be down 7 instead of 8 right now

and on the other hand had Florida State not done the same earlier they would be up 9 instead of 8 right now

lesson: don't chase points too early in a shootout

12 minutes is not too early especially with teams that do have talented defenses
