Hey Garrett, there has to be something to that. We ran the ball late, even when down by 9 and won the game. Will Garrett get it?

It's a valid point, but in the end the running game came up empty and Romo had to bail it out.

doesn't matter what JG gets. he only has another game or two as the HC.

You're right, but that fact will get lost.
It isn't lost in my mind, Romo was came up big when he had to. With that said, the running game was key on the field goal drive, and it also melted the clock. IMO if they had run more in that third quarter, maybe they don't blow the lead in the first place.
Maybe because he gets extra carries down the stretch in wins?
Insisting on giving him more touches that aren't there just hurts that record.
Maybe, but at the end of the day, we'll hang on to that 20+ carry stat as if that's all there is to it. Things are just that easy. In reality, it's not that easy, but nobody cares.
No one said that's all there is too it, but numbers don't lie. One of the reasons this Cowboy team never makes the playoffs is because they have had a lack of running game. You can't rely on Tony Romo to carry this team all 16 games, he isn't Peyton Manning or Drew Brees.
What you just said makes no sense. The run was working last week and they just stopped doing it for no reason. The run was working well today and they stuck with it. They lost last week, and won this week. It makes sense to run until the other team stops it. No one is say if they are stopping the run every time to stick with it, but if its working, keep it going.
Sports fans and the sports press leave something to be desired when it comes to intellect. We WILL hang on to that stat and dump situational football out of the window. It's what we do, day in, day out.
Your cause and effect is backwards. Murray gets touches because the offense is playing relatively effectively, not the other way around.
Sometimes I wonder if 95 % of the posters on her even watch the games
Funny, it seems to me Dallas had already dumped situational football last week. 23 point lead, and pass, pass, pass, 7 total runs when melting the clock was a must. They've done the same thing many times.
