Final game against the Dodgers, final game ever for Hudson.

I'm going with the date, 10-1 good guys.

Not going to post much, but yikes Huddy picks up right where he left off. Walks the first batter.

They mentioned his hip was flaring up badly during the last game. Apparently he is not feeling that good today either. He is only expected to go 2 innings or so.

Could have been a real cool moment if Affeldt got a PBF against A-Gon there.

As it stands, Hudson's book is now closed. Great career  :yo:

To both Hudson and Affeldt: :yo:

I know Affeldt could well pitch against Colorado but it would be sweet if both retirees went out together.

One think I cannot figure out from the play by play. Did Ethier not get out on the fielder's choice to 1st base in the 3rd inning? Did Posey try to throw out the runner going to home instead?

Come on offense, show some life! Don't let the Dodgers walk away with a split.

So much for that. Almost great game by the bullpen, going 6.2 innings, giving up only 5 hits and 2 walks. However, Affeldt should get the loss with giving up a hit to the first batter he faces, which drives in the 2nd run for the Dodgers and then the 3rd run scores off him on a fielder's choice.

Hopefully, the last series of the season ends on a high note. No reason to choke since doing so may only move the team up only a couple of slots, at most, in the 2016 draft.

Yes and the runner was safe.

doubtful, but you never know.

I could see old #9 coming back to coach 3b...he'd have to take a new number though.
I mentioned this in a thread on the MLB board a while back. I would place the odds at less than 50%, but I agree that it is a possibility.

As for JA and Huddy, I just don't see either of them coaching with the Giants in '16. I could see Huddy latching on with the Braves, maybe, though. I think JA's future is in the booth.

Completely agree. If I had to guess:

1. Williams -- back to Arizona
2. Huddy -- coaches for Braves
3. JA -- CSNBA
4. Tron -- ST invite from an AL team

I can see both JA and Huddy taking a year off from the game. But I think JA is so good that he has a chance to go the MLB, ESPN (probably not) or FS1. FS1 is probably the best bet. They are building their ranks, and he could be a good anchor personality.
