And what makes a collection of not greats into the better team? A GOAT coach that's what.

Don't disagree. If Dumars hadn't fucked that up they at least make another finals. They sure as hell wouldn't have lost to Lebron and a bunch of scrubs.

By 08 though the Celtics were the better team. Hard to say how 06 Heat goes. Wade was unconscious and Shaq is Shaq. Probably the same.

Most people want you to forget that Rick Carlisle built the foundation for that team.
Nobody says or thinks that

Doesn't mean anything anyway, just one of the long list of reasons LB is GOAT

Dumars was clearly in charge. He fired two really good coaches. One was a good decision. The other was horrendous.

Joe built the team. Joe tore it down.

Anyways not to keep on this trip down memory lane and take away from a clearly better pair of franchises...sorry for all that.

Dare I say it again? An obvious tale of 2 halves.
The Celtics wanted it more tonight.....just as they did in games 2 & 4.
Plus they were seemingly a bit healthier than Miami....and that really matters.
Should they go on and win this series they're gonna give the Dubs more than just a few problems.

Either team needs the Mavs to get that series to 6 games at least.

He is better than Steve Kerr, I will give you that.

No real argument to put him at Pop’s level.

Manu and Tony Parker were nice players Pop turned into Hall of Famer’s. He developed Kawhi Leonard.

Robinson and Duncan were the superstars, the rest was developed within the system.

Sorry, but LB doesn’t get extra credit for lack of staying power. He was a very good coach, but he couldn’t do what Pop or even Phil Jackson did.

Brown’s skill set was what it was. He could get the most out of a group for a couple years. All time great coaches need to be able to stand the test of time. LB couldn’t do that.

Larry Brown was fired by 4 different NBA teams.

That doesn’t speak to greatness.

The last time being entirely unwarranted. We don't know what went on behind closed doors but I sure as heck know it wasn't because he didn't mesh with his players.

Joe botched that entirely. He was both one of the and one of the worst executives in Pistons history.

LB's legacy could've looked a lot different. I sure as heck know the window on the Detroit team would have been more competitive for a longer time than it was.

Exactly, coach. LB's a fucking coaching nomad.

Did you guys know he's coaching as an assistant at Memphis?

I'm a defeated man. Tonight is the first time all playoffs that I felt they will not win the title.

Didn't want to believe Butler injury too much after game 4 but then i saw how he looked/played tonight and it confirms my fears that he is indeed limited due to this injury
its been a hell of a run, bro
