Might be just me, but shouldn't WVU be above KU? They beat KU by 11 and then lost to OU by 2. KU lost to WVU by 11 and beat TCU (current 9th in Big 12) by 6.

Yeah but then KU beat OU at home in triple OT but I think WV might be the better team. OU plays two ranked teams this week. Big Monday tonight at Iowa St. then at Baylor. #1 might be short lived. No easy nights....

Yeah, Hilton magic will be alive tonight. I'll be rooting for the Cyclones, as it helps Iowa.

I think Iowa deserves their ranking. With 3 losses, they shouldn't be above teams that are ranked above them at this time, but with wins over Purdue, Michigan, and MSU 2x keeps them in Top 10. Wins over ND, FSU, and Wichita State are RPI Top 50 wins. So, I am happy with their rankings right now.

I'm just hoping Iowa doesn't hit a wall and fall apart. I expect them to lose to one of B1G good teams and maybe even one they shouldn't that is a possible trap game.

I'm not going to doubt that, but they did face each other this week and WVU won by double digits. Kansas only dropped 2 spots from #1 after losing. WVU lost too but vs the new #1 by 2 points.

You have to rank based on the entire body of work though. We only have like 12 games left in the regular season. IMO you shouldn't rank teams based on what happened in just one week.

That's right. Too busy thinking of notable teams they played.

I wouldn't say great chance unless they are still undefeated in B1G play after the Maryland game.

Iowa is projected to finish 25-5 with the #4 RPI and 15 SOS. They do that, I think they are definitely a 1 seed.

I would say true in most cases, but I think losing to the #11 team as the #1 team and dropping 2 spots is just because they are KU. If they still had better record as everyone else, I can see that. But other teams have 2-3 losses.

I have no problem with OU as #1.

No, it's because they have a really good resume right now. Honestly, the only team you can make a case for being ahead of Kansas is probably only Xavier right now. Who else would you put ahead of them?

And that's dumb because their resumes, at this moment aren't close. Had WVU beaten OU(like Kansas did) we'd be having a different discussion. Putting so much emphasis on one game when that's only 5% of the story just doesn't make sense. Upsets happen.
