Never realized (or forgot) AJ Hinch was managing the Tiggers. Great Stanford catcher whom I saw many time at Sunken Diamond, Regardless, hope we pound em this series

I remember when Hinch was in the A's system. Cannot what year he played in Modesto but I've got his minor league card from that year.

A few years ago I was in Cincinnati for a conference. Stayed across the river in Covington. One morning, got up early and walked across the Roebling Bridge to downtown and saw all these people with orange and black. My first thought was, "My people!" My second thought was, "Oh, yeah, it's football season!"
