I think its time to move on from Ruf. His offense isn't getting any better and there are at least better hitting non defenders on this team.

Further talking about Ruf, his OPS is 3rd lowest on the active roster (above only Wynns and Walton) and his OPS+ is 4th lowest (LaStella is 2 points behind him). His dWAR is -1.4 and his oWAR is 0.1. He's hit well the past two years but he is also 35 years old and its not surprising to see offensive ability fall off a cliff at this age.

A 3-4 game looked doable to comeback against a team like the D-Backs. But I forgot our bullpen also sucks. I have low hopes for a win now, down 3-8 with only the 9th inning to rally.
