Slater yesterday, 2-3, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, sits the next game

Hanson today, 0-5, will most likely play tomorrow

:noidea:
Like I said the other day, I will not complain if Slater loses ABs to Hanson. It is when he loses ABs to Pence that I get miffed.

I could see something happening there, potentially. The rotation moving forward could be centered around Bum and Cueto with DRod, Stratton, and Suarez as the primary 3-5 with Holland holding a spot this year and Anderson, Beede and Herb pushing the next couple years.

I've lost hope for Beede. I hope I am wrong.

Last five appearances have been out of the bullpen.

4.2 innings
8 hits
6 runs
3 ER
3 walks
4 K's

However, Beede has not given up a walk in his last three appearances. Perhaps he is figuring something out.

As I type this, Beede enters the game in the 8th for the RiverCats, trailing 4-3

edit: 10 pitches, 3 strikes. Single, walk so far. :L

edit 2: Beede induces a GiDP and then the 3rd out. 15 pitches, 7 strikes. No runs.

Hanson - lf
Posey - c
McCutchen - rf
Belt - 1st
Crawford - ss
Sandoval - 3rd
Panik - 2nd
Hernandez - cf
Rodriguez - sp

I generally like this lineup. I think Posey makes a good number 2 hitter. But I would rather see Hanson hit 6th and put Hernandez in the lead off spot but I'm fine with Hanson lead off as well.

I wouldn't mind Hanson taking some of Panik's ABs to get Slater some ABs in LF, but yeah I like this consistently

I suppose we knew that, but were hoping Noggin might change his ways a bit. (Sigh)

At least it was Hanson and not Pence or Jackson

I have lost faith in him as a starter a starter well. But he is still in the MLB depth chart for the next couple years. He COULD find it...

I like this kid a LOT. I am starting to wonder if he may be a legit #3 (or better??)

Slow down, there. He's on a nice run, and appears to have quality pitches. Not sure about a #3, though.

Both he and Suarez appear to be quite mature in their approach to starting. Both have quality stuff. Neither one walks many batters. They both strike out a good rate. Both are now pitching into the 7th. Good to see them develop. We've needed to see our young starting pitchers develop.

How much can we really claim Dereck as developed by the Giants? I know that he pitched a few games in AAA this year but that is it for the Giants org.
