Keep in mind our team sucks. Even if we drafted Dak, he would not do nearly as well for us as he is for Dallas. Not saying he isn't good, just saying where you start has a lot to do with how good your career will be. I'd think we would ruin any rookie we put back there.
I am interested in seeing the strategy used with Kap actually. I mean, he has to have been playing really horribly in practice for Gabbert to be starting over him, so I'm not very hopeful. I really hope they just tell him "run if you need to." That's the only way I think he will be useful.

Pretty sure it's more "Blaine Gabbert is that bad, so what do we have to lose?" more than anything Kap actually did.
Obviously I hope he does well, but I doubt it.
I'm also on the "Lets give Kap another shot" train. I mean, Gabbert isn't working...clearly. They don't even trust him to throw the ball over 6/7 yards. Literally every 3 down play was designed to get someone the ball like 5 yards short of the first down and hope they somehow get the extra five...
I thought it would be a blowout just because it was in Seattle. Even when the Niners were a good team, Seattle used to destroy them in Seattle.
But I agree w/r/t Kelly. Our O is so horrible that the style of hurry up offense really does us no favors. IF we are actually going to win games this...
Yeah, I think 6 is best case scenario which is pretty bad. I realistically see 3 or 4 wins, but it's the NFL so some weird stuff can happen.
I guess I feel better about this season than last just because last season seemed so hollow and Tomsula was clearly a "let's just take a year off and try...
