Just finished this book last night and it was fuckin fantastic. If you’ve watched or read Band of Brothers then this is one you’ll definitely enjoy. It’s not so much a war memoir but more of a side by side autobiography of their entire lives. Highly recommend.
There is already a Chinese version of the show that came out last year and while I haven’t finished it, I found the characters to be exceptionally well cast and the show enjoyable. If the Netflix one sucks then you can always try it.
Anybody watching this? It’s probably my favorite sci fi series I’ve ever read but I’m hesitant to trust anything made by D&D or really any major book series after the abomination that is the Amazon Wheel of Time show.
Any particular WR you want in the draft? If they wanted to use a first pick on a WR I think Troy Franklin or Brian Thomas Jr would fit in well and could still be available when it gets to KC pick.
I really dig the format with the found journal and interviews with park rangers and shit. I’m in the middle of a bunch of books right now but I might have to put all those aside to finish this one asap.
The other I use is google play books, there is no subscription needed but the audiobooks I’ve purchased were generally in that $15 ballpark. On audible if you have no credits you can buy a pack of 5 for $60 and I do that sometimes. I more or less have an endless list of books to read and I don’t...
If you buy credits in bulk then it’s a little cheaper but not by much. I still use it for most audiobooks I listen to. Tbh I usually just wait until black Friday when basically all books on there are in the $2-8 range and buy a years worth of books.
Tbh that usher halftime show had me feeling like I was back at my middle school dance. Many of my same aged friends have been raving about the show since it happened.
I kinda feel like it should have been a no brainer for the niners to go for it on the fourth down in overtime to get the touchdown. In what universe is Mahomes not gonna drive right down the field and win the game?
One of the arguments I saw is that the ‘simplified’ playbook of Oregon didn’t prepare him for the more complicated reads and defenses he’ll face in the NFL, as if he is a guy who panics when his first read is covered. I don’t buy that.
It’s wild how he can make 5 yards happen out of nowhere when it should have been a 5 yard loss. He’s having to work hard against this defense for every yard right now though.
Seemed to me that the Chiefs watched tape of the Dolphins offense and saw them run the same couple plays over and over again then planned to stop them. And Miami kept calling those same plays that weren’t working all game instead of idk anything else. Felt like just a horrible game plan by the...
