yah.....its interesting how they are just about always competitive despite the payroll. Trading Civale for Manzardo was a great move at the deadline a couple years ago. He is a power bat they desperately needed. Last year seemed almost early in some respects- there is going to be so much...
yah I have patiently stashed Painter in my fantasy baseball league minors for years now. He is a monster--- him and Eury Perez of the Marlins seem like potential future aces. Always tough to tell with pitching. Skenes is obv. the most talented but I think Perez and Painter are right behind him.
who is that really good CF prospect you have that last winter (not the past- but the one before) the Guardians were asking about in a potential Clase deal? I guess he has really looked good? Crawford maybe?
man- the Rockies are so fucking bad.
Clean house. for fucks sake- hire a guy from the Dodgers or Rays or Guards or Brewers---- give some one else a chance to figure this out. They always blow the deadline- just let guys walk for no reason instead of getting value....they have no one on...
it is unless you have injuries- know this is not the Cavs thread- but the injuries, plus Ty Jerome forgetting how to shoot has hurt--- with Garland's status they need another ball handler to give Mitchell a break and with Garland hurting and Jerome a mess its been a problem. Plus Hunter is...
I wonder if good Ortiz or bad Ortiz will show up- its a 50% chance basically. Guards are gonna need to score some runs that is for sure and Wheeler is one of the only true aces left in the game that has any kind of longevity.
Bibee looked good tonight which is encouraging- getting his shit...
I think this hurt the Cavs a little bit too in a way- not so much the endgame- but the fact that guys only were playing 32 minutes a night.......now its the playoffs and we want guys playing 38+ minutes a night of higher intensity basketball- and with the shortened bench because of the injuries...
I think part of it is that SGA is more of a driver than anything else- in the regular season, teams just arent denying the rim or playing with nearly the same intensity. In the playoffs, those drives are almost always get contested and the refs are swallowing the whistles a lot more. SGA...
young teams very very win a championship or even get to the Finals unless they are extremely talented. Only a few teams I can remember in recent history that were very young and made a finals- OKC was one of them.
I still think OKC is the favorite in the West but its never easy facing a...
I will be the first to admit I was skeptical of the STrus signing- but I gotta say- he is an absolute steal at his salary. Tough, a leader, good defender, good shooter, young. One of the best role players in the NBA.
my feeling is that having 2 defense-first players in Dort and Hartenstein makes for some issues during a playoff series when things slow down. CAruso is defense first......seems like OKC needs a little more pop offensively if they arent getting tons of points out of SGA - which is gonna be...
I would rather have a guy stomped on then pushed while in the air going for a dunk by a 40 year old goon with no talent who just came in the game to make a dirty play.
Draymond has his issues- but at least you can show some respect for him as a player- Johnson is nothing but a washed up...
Garland looked hobbled a lot of the game. I thought Mobley played really well - esp. on the glass.
Ty Jerome looks lost.....he is losing himself some big time dollars right now. He was such a weapon. He looks tight right now. Could really use him with Garland struggling
its so Guardians that there 2 solid hitting prospects that were close- Brito and DeLauter- both got multi-month injuries....which honestly- after you bring them back and ramp them up in the minors- wipes out practically half the season.
Id love to see Brito at 2nd right now, Arias at SS and...
the Rockies just do not have any good players.
I play fantasy baseball- and I can never remember a team where basically the whole roster is bullshit.....I mean especially in Colorado where one or two hitters should emerge just because of the HR potential of Coors Field.
They are so bad- and...
the defense is weird- he has all the ability- but seems to have mental lapses...
ill tell ya- if the Nationals had half a brain theyd give up whatever to get Walters from the Guards.....geez the Nationals bullpen is sooooo bad.
Rocchio has been brutal
his very solid post-season from last year is starting to become a distant memory...he seems like his confidence is at an all time low.
