I generally agree with this- but the issue is that LeBron does not have a lot of time left. It does not look like the Lakers have nearly enough to win this year by just developing the young guys.
It makes it a tough choice- stay the course or go and get an old expensive guy to try and win with...
no one is trading all star level wings....its so hard to get on the open market.....
I do think that gives Butler value to the Heat since every single team is basically always hunting for a all star swing guy besides like the Celtics. So hard to get done.
Donovan Mitchell at 31.5 minutes a night. Last 2 seasons with the Cavs he was over 35 minutes a game
SGA 34.4
Jokic 36.9
Tatum 36.4
Brunson 34.9
Cavs are getting it done and their best guys are not even playing big minutes. True team- depth- even though the full roster has not yet been...
if you did not expect a Lakers win tonight- when the Lakers were waiting for the Cavs- coming off a back to back from GSW - not sure when it would happen.
Darius Garland was fantastic in that game. He did not shoot that well, but he was constantly breaking down the defense and beating guys off...

Saying this since LeBron spent time in Cleveland and we talked a lot about what he needed to win. But you would think by year seven, Rob Pelinka would know what works best
3PM by year:
26th
24th
24th
18th
25th
24th
20th
Hard to fathom.

The Cavs were in the Finals in 2017-18.
LeBron left. They bottomed out. The cupboard was BARE as it could be after trading just about everything not nailed down.
They sucked for 3 years. Drafted Garland 5th, Mobley 3rd, and Okoro 6th. The only very strong draft was the Mobley draft. The...
Cavs in LA on New Year's Eve on the 2nd night of a West-Coast back to back. We will see just how mentally focused they are I guess. lol. I hope they don't chalk this one up.
They have won the last 7 games by no less than double digits. Hope there isnt a let up but this seems like it...
I think the O's issue is they see the major contracts coming for Henderson and Rutschman and want to keep the books clean for them. They both have a way to go before free agency but the contracts they demand will be staggering.
Their minor leagues is not as great as it used to be either...
Merry Mid-ness to the Heat, Warriors and Lakers!!! Who is the mid-dest of them all? It changes week to week- but right now ill go with the Lakers--- for losing the season series to the Pistons!
The thing is- I cannot say the Guardians have made bad moves. Every move they have made- the Gimenez trade, flipping Horowitz, Naylor, replacing with Santana---- it all makes sense and is probably all value add.
It just kind of stinks when you have guys you like- and they are constantly being...
It is just wild- Marcus Stroman is making over 18M this year. That shit would, if not cripple the Guards, seriously constrain them. Cheap-ass Guards are worried about Naylor making like 14M.
Not paying him that much? It appears he is making like 54M over the next 2 seasons and the Cubs are picking up 5M. It would surprise me if Walker or Alfonso get 25M a year.
If you mean- its not over 8 years like Fried- fair enough. He is the Yanks 4th highest paid player this year though.
he is 35 and in his 15th season.
I would not go passed 2 years to sign him but he will prob. insist on 3. Seems like a big risk if they would have cap room otherwise. If they would not have cap room otherwise and its just $- who cares I guess?
maybe-- it will be interesting
they have a lot of money tied up in Cole, Rodon and Fried- and Devin Williams will be a FA after this year. Judge and Stanton are still on the books.
It is the Yankees so you cannot rule it out- but putting up 400+ million would be a lot. Having said that-...
