A lot of people do not understand what he has done for the NBA, his vision began with creating a global market, expanding the NBA, Creating the league turning the NBA into a financial powerhouse.H e was good commish, lots of love to him and the family.
bad time of the year for that to happen.

Well I remember when he helped move the sonics to Oklahoma soooo good luck david
The Boston Vs Lakers rivalry put the NBA on the radar really. Jerry Buss also did much for the NBA and maybe more. Those together rebuilt the NBA, but the creation of the Thunder should not be underestimated eitherAnd having Bird and Magic come along at the right time didn’t hurt.
Yeah, I might have to warn him on Facebook to keep his chops shut today and talk stupid shit about Stern and hope he listensHurricane is happy i bet
I can relate to his lack of popularity though because his position was to keep order over a large group of young men who let their emotions control them. As an insurance auditor who reviews the records of businesses, my job is to make sure they get billed property and i can guarantee to you for example: when i discovered a contractor who had hired 1.6 million dollars in illegals being cash, that I was well hated when he got billed an additional 300,000 dollars in premium. Especially disputing the audit, and my audit triggered Ca State Fund to look closer and discovered the same thing which resulted in another bill for 390,000 a second time.Overall, he was a good commissioner.
He was a bit heavy handed at times which made him appear more dictator than commissioner.
But he oversaw tremendous growth making the NBA a global league that has helped the NBA surpass MLB and becoming the 2nd most popular sports league in the country after the NFL.

Was just going to type that until I saw your postI don't care how much of a jerk he might have been at times, hoping for a complete recovery.
It sucked for Seattle but perhaps someday a new team ca Come inWell I remember when he helped move the sonics to Oklahoma soooo good luck david
I remember when Stern kept the Mavs from winning their "first" title.
