He adds nothing that is for sure. It is wasted money. It does not help that 2 star players (Davis and Snacks) are grossly under performing though. Still, bring in a young DC that can develop under MP and possibly add some creativity.

Agreed. Davis is a waste of space. I would rather have JRM out there. Snacks was playing his way back but has been unmotivated this year compared to last.

Jon Kitna could win games by out scoring a 32nd ranked Lions Defense. The PROBLEM is... a QB that gets paid to work on his 4th quarter comeback wins stats. The funny thing is... you're crying defense this week, you'll probably be crying offense next week.

Fire Matt Millen (GM) signed a 5 years extension [like Bob Quinn], Fire Joe Barry (DC) had the worst Defense in the league ranked 32nd [like Paul Pasqualoni 31st ranked defense], the Owner needs to sell [still hasn't] would be deja vu. The Lions fan bases keep getting what they cry for except ...wait for it... wait for it, oh that's right ...playoff wins.

What's the difference if a player throws a game, a defense, a offense or the nfl officials? It's pretty much deliberately (on purpose) in my book. The Lions only do enough to sell tickets.

The Packers were 2-2-1 after 5 games and 3-3-1 after 7 games last season, 6-9-1 for the year...

If you want to fire Pasqualoni, you want to Patricia, also. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

I want to like Patricia because his defense has been very effective against Mahomes and Rodgers.
But when you are 27th in the league in sacks and blitzing less than 10% of the time. It is alarming.
You can't put that much pressure on your secondary all the time and expect to get away with it.

Agreed. Especially once guys get banged up. PLaying man does not work with guys less than 100%. Slay got beat like a drum this week. He is better then that and you cant expect or depend on him to be a shutdown guy with a hamstring injury. Got to adjust the scheme to allow for some disguise. Maybe let Coleman go man on 1 side of the field and play zone the other side. Or if playing man disguise a blitz. Half the time we are rushing 3 and dropping 8. OCs will start tearing that up at some point. Heck it may have started last week.

tbh, not having Hand and Daniels healthy and Snacks underperforming compared to all but 1 of his previous seasons hurts that front.

The LB corp still is atrocious in coverage no matter who plays whether it's Jones, Tavai or Davis. Jones was eaten alive against GB RB Williams on that deep seam route but he had Ebron fingers. Davis is still mostly highly questionable in coverage and chooses the wrong angle to pursue on most occasions. Davis' one asset is blitzing but he's usually so out of control and undisciplined he takes himself out of making a play in the backfield. Tavai is too damn stiff in his hips to turn and run with most any RB/TE. JRM is only decent in coverage and a greater liability in the run than Davis is.

I just don't see any solve all in firing PP when the talent they have to work with at this time is underwhelming as a whole. The scheme's drawn up are repeated all to often and that's all on MP and not PP. MP is the head coach and if an in-game scheme isn't working than it's up to MP to have it changed and communicated to PP. It's not going to work at this juncture without 100% complete health and all players participating and preforming like we all had hoped for prior to camp.

Hell, the best part of the defense has been the secondary up until the last game and when there's no pressure on the qb's then you sure as hell can't expect the DB's to cover for 4-6 seconds.
