Meh. Maybe in totality it is OK but the order is not. The Godfather was horribly inaccurate. The Wizard of Oz was laughed at when it came out and was a box office bomb.

I have seen maybe half of these.

I don't agree with some shit on this list. Giant being below some of the other films is a travesty.

Sometimes the audiences gets it wrong at first. The Wizard of Oz is one of the most beloved and iconic films of all time!! LOL.

The order is always up for debate.

That’s the problem with AFI, they’re basically a giant bunch of pretentious snob’s where if your movie didn’t come out before 2000 and it’s pretty much considered shit to them.

On their top 100 movies of all time list they made a few exceptions like where they have LOTR but overall anything from the past 20+ years is considered garbage.

The list was made in 1996, it was 100 movies over 100 years (1896-1996)

They did an updated 10 year anniversary list (Shawshank Redemption did make the cut that time around)
