Ranking College Football's 10 Hardest Schedules for 2019

1. Stanford Cardinal
2. South Carolina Gamecocks
3. USC Trojans
4. Auburn Tigers
5. Michigan Wolverines
6. Texas A&M Aggies
7. Maryland Terrapins
8. Florida Gators
9. UCLA Bruins

10. Duke Blue Devils

Discuss.

Obviously it will depend on how some teams turn out to be next year but a schedule featuring:
miami
Auburn
LSU
Tennessee
Georgia
fsu

looks awfully tough. That's 6 of the 17 truly elite programs in America. I don't know of anybody else who plays that many of them next season. Hopefully Tennessee, fsu and miami will stay down and Auburn will struggle next season to make it much more manageable than it otherwise would be.

How the hell is Florida in the top 10 when their ooc is 5-7 FSU, 7-5 Miami and 2 FCS teams ??

two traditional powers OOC plus LSU, Auburn, Tennessee and Georgia in conference? Gee...how could that be tough? :L

If you just want to talk about this season and assume that tells you how tough teams will be next season....aside from being ridiculous.....OK but then you have to assume Mizzou and the Cocks and Kentucky will be pretty good again.

Tennessee has been garbage for well over a decade, please stop pretending they are a tough team. It would be like the BigTen pimping out Nebraska but they have actually been a good team more recently.

That's how SOS works dipshit. It's based on the prior year results .

You can't be serious. You're facing an insanely mediocre Miami team and an FSU team in disarray. If Florida is even remotely good, those should be easy Ws.

I call BS of the Florida rating …

They play 2 FCS teams next year (Tenn.-Martin and Towson) … that alone sets them out of the top 25

Their other 2 OOC games are Miami and Florida St … which are bout around middle of the road teams (right now) and I'm not seeing them break into the top 10 next year

… Then there is Vandy on their schedule and of course last place Tenn. (what is that --- around 6 wins already)

So if Florida can eek out 1 win against (a couple of 7-5 teams) Auburn and Tenn. or against LSU or Georgia ---Florida can say that they are Bowl eligible next year

.... (they need 7 wins because they play 2 FCS teams and only 1 will count --- which is another reason to drop their SOS down)
I suspect the writer has some sec glasses on when the article was created …

Too bad y'all don't play Merryland against next year. Its been quite entertaining watching them push your shit in the last two seasons.

I freely concede they're not a good team right now. They are a top program though and its only a matter of time before they're tough again. They have enough fans and enough money and a big enough commitment to winning big to ensure they won't stay down forever. They were one of the 5 winningest programs in the country in the 90s.

Actually dipshit, its based on the results teams put up in the season they play. Right now its just a projection based on last season. Obviously that can change a lot from one season to the next.

miami won 10 games last season. This season its 7. There's no guarantee they won't be good next season. They've been one of the winningest programs in the country over the last 40 years.

fsu too looked really bad this year....but that's their first losing season since the mid 70s. There's no guarantee they won't bounce back next season.

The point is, those are both good programs. Even after bad seasons, I'd take them a helluva lot more seriously than Buffalo or Kansas.

The 90’s were almost twenty years ago. Again, it’s worse than pumping out Nebraska. A top ten all time team that blows goats now for nickels.

We'll see if Pruitt can earn his money next season. Just a few years ago Tennessee was pretty good. Then the wheels came off.

Buffalo would've easily beaten both teams this year. Miami is shit, what has happened over the last 40 years is irrelevant to next year's team. They weren't even good last year when they had 10 wins, they were lucky to even be over .500 playing as shitty as they did against shit opponents.

Yeah, it's almost a guarantee FSU isn't going to be good next year.

I hope you're right and they're just as shitty as you think they'll be. Both have been awfully damn good since the start of the 80s.

And both have been a joke for the last two years, which is what really matters. Both programs lack proven leaders and while Richt is at least respectable, neither team has a coach to make them relevant. It's remarkable how much talent on paper is there but they're just so bad. I don't see Florida winning either game by less than 20 as long as you don't suddenly fall off.

Anytime I think ND's schedule is going to be hard it ends up being easy, relatively speaking, this year being a good example. Next year's schedule, outside of Michigan and UGA looks easy, so it'll probably be a top 15 SOS by the end of the year.

Why are you facing USC so early?

Anytime they come to South Bend it's always in the middle part of the season. It's usually the 7th week of the season, for 2019 it's the 6th. Probably so we get a bye before Michigan.
