Peterman is not a project. If KC leaves next year. We will be in need of QB. I guess they feel Sudfield is just as good as or better than Peterman. I don't get that at all. Unless the skins already decided to give KC the blank check and all this is moot.

Do you actually believe that Peterman will be ready to go if Kirk leaves? If so, you and I will have to agree to disagree on that point. In fact, if you're right, and I honestly hope that you are, wouldn't Peterman come in with a skillset that makes Colt expendable? Yes he has some upside but to me he needs at least two years to come up to Colt level and another year to surpass him. I'm open to hear your view of him. Thanks!

SS is not a need. Could of drafted King from Iowa and made him a FS.
Skins look for versatility at the safety position, not Just SS or FS roles.

He can definitely improve in a year I would hate going into next season without a QB if Kirk doesn't sign longterm by the July deadline

Kiem indicated the coaching staff is still happy with Sudfield. So maybe they are putting their eggs in his basket after this next year depending upon what happens with KC.

No argument from me, but the question still remains, improve to what level? Starter? I doubt it, if so why keep Colt? Back-up to Colt? he would come in with that distinction, right? We have to admit, any QB that we get this late in a draft will require significant work just to supplant McCoy.

well Kiem just said they are high on Sudfield so its a moot point now. Peterman dropping in this draft is a shocker to me.

Because Peterman sucks! Watch any Tennessee tape you can find of him. He was an awful QB. Great kid but the talent is just not there. Any SEC fan will tell you that Peterman would be a wasted pick. He was a disaster at Tennessee. If he can't compete with SEC defenses, how will he compete in the NFL?

Yea I dont get the Peterman love. Not a fan at all. That Pitt offense was so simplified for him too.

Didnt you hear? Hes Colt Brennan 2.0! We have to take him!
Some blogger somewhere must have said he has potential so our boy locked onto him. We will hear about how we missed on him for the next 5 years.

Not if he is a poor tackler and doesn't like contact.

Read Sty's report. The guy is a big hitter but he also misses tackles. He is big and fast. That equals special teams. Once you get to this 4th round guys have holes. That is why they are still here. Sounds like a special teamer to me. I didn't say he would make the team but you never know.

I am never in favor of drafting a QB beyond the 3rd round. BTW: we already have a project QB on the roster. Unless this team is already willing to admit that Nate Sudfield was a wasted pick, it makes no sense to go after another project QB. Even if they are willing to take another project, that project has to have more immediate upside than either Sudfield or Peterman has. I want our project guys to have the skillset that requires a year, at most two before they are pushing for playing time.

So you aren't in favor of Johnny Unitas, Tom Brady, Kirk Cousins. Dak Prescott ..... and so on?

If you don't make the team as a 4th round pick that is bad.

Exception to every rule...you know that. With the exception of Unitas, and Brady which was pure luck, NOPE!!

True but most 6th rounder's are flyers anyhow. Any help we get starting at round 5 is gravy to me. Then too you have to have a couple of guys from here because they help keep your cap down. I think we all know that they are looking for depth and special teamers on 3rd down.
