Top 20 of Vinny Cerrato's Worst Personnel Moves - Fanspeak Washington Redskins Blog

:pound::pound::pound::pound::pound:

Are you for real? Vinny did OK? For starters the Fat Al move alone should place him in the category of one of the worst GMs ever. Throw in trades of tons of picks for the likes of TJ Duckett, Jason Taylor & Trung Candidate. Add in other FA moves, the drafting of lousy QBs & the hiring of Jim Zorn & he definitely gets my vote as one of the worst GMs ever.

Again - I also hope that you are joking with your Spurrier screen name - IMO hands down he is the worst NFL coach ever.

While I totally agree with you about Vinny that article really isn't fair. Many of the moves happened when Gibbs was in control of personnel. As for Fat Albert there is no question this was Danny's idea. Cerrato just didn't have the balls to stand up to him and say no. I guess in a way you can't blame him, Dan would have stomped his feet and fired him.

Yep - some truth to that - still believe that Cerrato made plenty of bad moves. Not a transaction but perhaps one of the worst things from that era was every Fri before games Cerrato, Snyder & Zorn would have lunches where they would discuss strategy for the upcoming game - scary!

So you are fine with the Redskins not re-signing both Jackson & Garcon?

The projected draft picks are pure BS & conjecture since it relies not only on the Redskins mindset but also how other teams select. I would be more focused on the FA pickups - not really sure if they are good or not since I don't know enough about these guys.

As I said on another board recently the low point for me was the Dan/Vinny/Zorn clown show. I was as close as I could ever come to bailing once I heard that Vinny and Dan were off scouting QBs after they fired Zorn.

i have studied the draft picks and they are ok no way to tell if they would be there at this point . i would like either garcon or jax however stills would be a good , younger replacement for jax . . the other fa pickups are young and have started unlike the johnson and the brutons of the world
