That pen is ridiculous now.

On paper it is. But we said the same in the spring. Time for the BP to get a chip on its shoulders and go out and bitch slap everyone from here on out!

Harrell is just a band aid probably.... Until Colby gets back.

ANd then he goes long relief I guess. But he's there if Holland comes back with his head up his ass again.

This winter I would trade Roogie for pitching prospects.

I'm inclined to agree with ya. But a whole lot depends on how Profar plays the rest of the year, if we win it all, etc before I'd make that prediction.

But it's a good thought. Somethings gotta give with this much middle INF talent.

Good job, White Sox!

What a bunch of pompous arrogant douchebags in their front office. They were only going to make a deal with us if it gutted our farm system and hurt us at the ML level too ( Mazara).

Don't forget that there's still the waiver trade deadline too, in case the need for one more emergency starter arises.

I know JD has coveted Jonathan Lucroy for quite some time now. I think he really helps the Rangers.

BUT...the Brewers had completed a trade with the Indians for much less than they are getting from Texas. Thinking maybe we overpaid for Lucroy. Hope I'm wrong. But if Desmond doesn't re-sign with Texas, then this deal looks very suspect.

Yep. Still plenty of opportunity to improve.

Its definitely something I would consider

Same.

Really, the Rangers have a few players (after this season) that they could use to re-stock the farm.

Elvis (profar slides in as replacement)
Odor (profar slides in as replacement)
Darvish (FA after next season)

They weren't sending Jeffress to Cleveland.

And there will be jobs lost in their FO over this, I guarantee it. Sale will have a meltdown and they will have to take pennies on the dollar this offseason.

This is where I've been looking to get that extra starting depth we need, the price just way to high for starting pitching

They say Lucroys biggest asset is how he calls games. The pitchers are going to love him. The Rangers upgraded big in that area, I've heard that in regard to calling games that chirinos " needs work". It is understandable tho, because chirinos is not a natural catcher. He switched positions. I hope we keep Wilson, but we probably keep Cheerios.

Let's just roll over and get negative. LuCroy was the right trade.

Cordell while not the athlete Brinson is (no one is really), is probably the 2nd best athlete in the system, and is probably on a step behind Brinson in advancing

So tell me about Jeffress and what he brings to Texas. Seems to me with Barnette, Kela, Bush, Diekman, and Dyson our bullpen was already looking to be in good shape.

I've thought about trading Darvish as well. I would. We can't afford to keep him and Cole, and Ian. I'd rather have ian and Cole than Darvish. He will be looking for a makeup contract after all that money we paid out but didn't go to him. I'd think $30M a year is his start. No thanks. He's a stud, but not worth that much money or a bidding war with LAD. So I'd trade him for some teams #1-7,
