JJ Abrams' sequel to the 2008 monster film Cloverfield.
I loved Cloverfield, I actually got sucked into the ARG they had for that.
Are we sure this is a sequel? Beside the name "Cloverfield" there doesn't seem to be any tie to the original, Matt Reeves and Drew Goddard aren't associated with this movie... at least from what I can tell.
Waking up from a car accident, a young woman finds herself in the basement of a man who says he's saved her life from a chemical attack that has left the outside uninhabitable.

I agree with this. Not sure it's a sequel, maybe just the aftermath of things, or before the monster?
Also, this isn't a true sequel from what I have read... it had zero ties to Cloverfield before Paramont decided to reshoot and change the title. Makes me suspicious of a money grab
Worth seeing? If the camera is fucky like the first one I'm not interested
