This would greatly amuse me:
We can't afford a backup QB that makes 9M a year. So I would be upset.Foles is due $8.75 million this year. If they trade him, they save $2 million.
Would any one here be really upset if we traded RG3 for Foles and made Foles the backup to Cousins?? The Rams could afford the initial hit, and Griffin would be alot more likely to rework his deal and extend it knowing he is the unquestioned starter in LA.

Wouldn't McCoy be cheaper if he resigned? Yes Foles has more upside but like you said its just a one year rental.
This is crazy on several levels. First, not sure whether we'd want Foles here if he played for free. But Rappoports' tweet indicates that we'd be interested in giving up something in a trade for him. Don't see that. And then, there's the issue of his bloated cap number.
Rappoport is just making stuff up now.
McCoy would cost about the same as he was $1.35 last year. So its six in one hand half dozen in the other. But McCoy is also two years older and five inches shorter. My guess is McCoy will try and go some place to get one last shot at competing for a starting role... he aint getting that in DC.
True but McCoy knows our offense so his worth is actually greater than Foles.
As I explained.. .weither cut or traded, the Rams are on the Hook for $8 million for Foles. If traded, they technically save $1.75 million. The team that trades for him picks up the $1.75 million... and thats it for 2016.
I'd be shocked if gets a starting gig.
Thanks for the heads up on his cap number. I didn't check Over The Cap on that, but don't consider it much of an issue since I'd rather have McCoy here anyways.
