I agree but this article is saying that he will only command 4mil per season. That is a huge steal for this guy b/c he is still young and very productive. Rumor has it that Pot roast will not be back so he could be priority #1 when it comes to FA. Plus if signed I think we wont be looking at Reed or Billings at pick #21. SO then we could turn our attention to LB, DE, or CB.

Thanks. It's amazing what Google can do for you. :) However, I'm a bit behind the eight ball on the draft. Until I get my hands on some reliable draft guides, I will let the Draft Gods of the Hoop provide me whatever info I need. And, hey, I might then not need those draft guides after all!

We have to see what happens in FA first. Its so hard to predict right now about the draft.

I'm interested to see where this guy ends up, if we make 1 big move this FA, I'd hope this would be it.

Sigh.........Good luck, Alf and DY. Here's to hoping you come up nice wherever you end up.

WTF that info about LP almost seemed to imply he was fakin the funk on his sprained toe. Anyone ever had a sprained or broken toe before? It ain't no joke, no way, no how. That said, c'mon back, LP.

Good grief on Jeron Johnson. I was unaware half the population of China kept him on the bench by taking his job from him.

Hard to blame Galatte for the position he's taking far trying to maximize his earning potential. Getting off fuckin twitter probably wouldn't hurt his chances.

Signing Harrison and getting a proper DL in the draft would be wonders for both Foster and Compton.

Go back and watch the GB game... Foster and Compton are backups imo. We need major help at ILB and hope the draft helps us in that dept.

If both ILBs were looking like back ups. I'd say the odds are good the interior DL was looking as bad if not worse. That's not to say I would be opposed to an upgrade at ILB or outright dismiss an upgrade as unnecessary. It seems according to a recent poll in the NFL forum. The opinion that ILBs/MBs are the keys to a stout run defense is more common than I would've believed before seeing the poll. IMO the interior DL is the key to a good/great run defense. Regardless if playing a 43 or 34 defense. If you don't have at least one interior player who makes it mandatory that he is double-teamed on damn near every play. I don't care who your ILBs/MLB is unless he's simply on another level like a Butkus. Eventually throughout a game and especially throughout season. Your defense is going to fall prey to a good running game.

A good OG in the neighborhood of 310-315 pounds with a few yards of forward mo already to his credit is going to eventually get the better of a good ILB/MLB in the hood of 250-260 pounds who's standing flat footed. And if the RB coming from behind that OG is a horse like Eddie Lacy. It can and will turn into a long day for an interior backer. If you disagree with that that's cool. Seeing as how the meat of our interior DL in Hatcher and Knighton have already been dispatched with, Hatcher in part to his knees and age. While the Skins are hopeful something get worked out with Foster and the coaches already declaring last year that regardless who's gone among the ILBs come 2016. Compton wasn't going anywhere in part because he can play both ILB positions. I'm gonna opine that GB's big day running the ball on the Skins last year was in someway as much or more on the interior DL than the ILBs.

Damon Harrison just got signed by the Giants for about $9M a year. He was looking for $5M a year.

The Giants have Jenkins and Harrison but the money is way too high. They had a lot of money to spend anyways.
