Want my fucken money back.
Name 6 modern day players who were elected to an all star team at age 40 or above. Is that better?I went along with it this time, but this is a "guess a player" thread. Not trivia![]()
Michael Jackson (if he wasn't addicted to Valium which really slowed him down)Regarded as the fastest white player in MLB, he played for 5 different teams from 1975 to 1990. Who is he?
It was Dave Collins. Look him up.I"m going to take a stab here and say Rick Manning. I know the Phillies and Cubs had a guy named Bob Dernier that was very fast but his career started a little later.
You can give a little more time and hints if someone doesn't get it right away. For example, Ced's extensive knowledge about above average players from 1975-1990 (which coincidentally, was the exact same time your player played) would probably have propelled him to the correct player. Now if you give the most obvious hints (i.e., this player hit 714 home runs) and still no one gets it, then you can name the playerIt was Dave Collins. Look him up.
Kenny Lofton?4-time Gold Glove winner and six time all-star played for about a dozen teams
Over 2,000 hits in his career and .299/.372
Averaged 36 SBs a season
11 post season appearances and two WS losers
Yeah I agree with Omar. That was a good one, but it is actually one I may have gotten with a clue or two. Without looking I remember he played with the Reds and had a year around 79 or 80 where he had a ton of SBs. (like 75-80 or something). I'm not sure if he was the guy but I kind of remember him getting signed by the Yankees and then getting lost in a sea of their platoon players .It was Dave Collins. Look him up.
