Interesting about Culiver. I never knew that.
The Washington Times reports the suspension Redskins RCB Chris Culliver (ACL, MCL) served Week 2 voided all remaining guaranteed money on his contract.
Culliver was owed $8 million guaranteed in 2016, but a clause in his contract voided that money if he was suspended for a 2014 off-field incident. The change means it will only cost the Redskins $3.75 million in dead cap to cut Culliver this offseason. Culliver struggled while on the field in his one year as a Redskin and is questionable at best for Week 1 after tearing his right ACL and MCL in late November. Washington may decide to move on.

Redskins SS Dashon Goldson is a potential cap cut.
One of the worst safeties in the league last season, Goldson is set to make $8 million in salary and bonuses next season. Washington can save all of that money against the cap by cutting Goldson. The 31-year-old has some leadership value, but there is almost no way he is brought back at that salary.
