As of right now I have to give it to Fitzpatrick. The dude is playing like a top 10 NFL QB. I doubt that anyone saw this coming. The Jets have a decision to make.

No doubt... Mr Harvard is playing like a perennial pro bowler. As a direct result, Marshall & Decker are making a great argument to being one of the best WR duos in the NFL this season.

Balljim, I think your team is the biggest surprise so far this year. A solid team for years now, I did not expect undefeated so far.

Super Bowl 50 predictions: Packers, Colts among picks

How about how poorly the Colts have done to date. Check out this preseason link from NFL.COM. Just about all of these analysts picked the Colts to be in the SB and several had them winning the whole thing.

I suppose that the Colts could still make it to the SB, but that seems highly unlikely. Injuries are also a factor, but it appears to go beyond that.

Newton leading the MVP race must be a huge surprise to many people. Considering Brady, Rodgers and Manning usually have their names penciled in before every season starts it must be a shock to some journalists to find themselves leaning toward Cam Newton this late in the race.

Definitely the Panthers.

This Fitzpatrick's MO. Have a string of good games that is punctuated by a 3 pick disaster.

A 1-5 team is on pace to make the playoffs for the first time since 1970. Surprise team? For me it's the Raiders and Carr's development; there's no doubt in my mind that team is better than their 6-7 record right now.

I figured the Panthers would be good- if not outright win the South so I am not totally surprised outside of the fact they are freaking undefeated and what not.

Panthers to the good, Colts to the bad. Bengals to the good too. No shock they are a playoff team, but didnt see 10-2 after 12 games. Detroit to the bad. They won double digit games last year, now back to bottom feeder status.

Raiders & Jags finally turning the corner as a franchise... That's pretty cool to see.

How about the massive turd that has been the Ravens this year. Who saw that coming? Certainly not Tgann.

I think there was a decent sized contingent that thought they'd be mediocre. What I didn't expect was the wave of injuries to shove them into outright terrible territory.

Yeah I don't agree with Fitzpatrick. He is only playing marginally better now than what he has over his career and most of that probably just has to do with the Jet's really do have a lot of talent on offense (and it somehow has all managed to stay healthy this season).

Panthers and Cam for sure for me. The highest scoring team in the league today.

Their top 2 WR's? Ted Ginn and Jerricho Cothchery.
Their two "bookend" OT's? Michael Oher and Mike Remmers
Their top RB? A completely pedestrian Jonathon Stewart.

It just makes zero sense. All the positions (outside of QB) that are supposed to be "impact" positions are filled with some of the worst talent you will find at those positions in the entire league. And yet they are the highest scoring team in the league. Even though it has happened I am still not sure I entirely believe it.

In Fitz' defense, this is by far the best supporting cast he has played with

This guy has been the QB of a Who's who of shitty teams his whole career, and I understand he has played his part

I heard 40% of their salary cap is on season ending IR

if one team gets a pass this season, it should be them
