Rumors floating around that Urbs will reach out to Greg Schiano for the DC job. Wow, this would be a home run if this happens.
I think they tried and he thought something bigger would open up for him. I think he dropped the ball on this. However, if he takes the tOSU DC gig, he probably stays no more than 2 seasons and jets for a HC job. My question is "is it worth it", and what do you tell the recruits that are interested and building a relationship with someone you know who is going to leave in a short time?Big name. Wonder why Rutgers didn't just try to get him back

Excellent point. In fact, all of the top programs across the country have this happen. Recruits have to know this. Look at Bama, USC, FSU, tOSU just to name a few who have assts and coordinators move on due to the success of the programs from previous spots.Ya it is worth it. I would just be up front with any recruit. Ohio State wants/expects the best. Just as we wouldn't expect a recruit with the chance to go pro an make millions stay we can't expect a coach to stay with a better opportunity in front of him. Urban has always had a rent a coach philosophy.
Bucknuts listed Schiano and eleven warriors did not? I think I trust the guys on Bucknuts to be honest. That would be HUGE
Yeah bucknuts gets more inside rumors where I think 11w only releases stuff when they can confirm it. Or at least that's my perception. Another Buckeye forum that I frequent has ZERO mention of Shiano so take that for what it is worth. I'll post a question over there and see if anyone has heard anything.Bucknuts listed Schiano and eleven warriors did not? I think I trust the guys on Bucknuts to be honest.
Don't be surprised to see him sway Gary from scUM. At the very least get him here for a OV. If he hits the campus on a OV. All bets are off for scUM. Schiano has ties to NJ and Gary's school.Wow grand slam hire. He recruits the NJ and South FL area very well.
Hey what's up G&G? Long time no hear? To answer your question in regard to Schiano, he is a very good DC. HC is another animal. He is a solid recruiter and we need this for the NJ area north and south coastal areas. He also has ties with Florida, which is huge. Urbs has done his homework and this is a big deal whether a TCU fan wants to acknowledge that? Anyway, good luck in your bowl game and with the Boys'.Why?
Thanks dude...Hey what's up G&G? Long time no hear? To answer your question in regard to Schiano, he is a very good DC. HC is another animal. I have not checked the Boys' board out in awhile.. Is anybody still hopeful for the division? We lose next week to AZ obviously. The Bills should be pissed off and run the Skids out hopefully. I forget who the Giants have? Thanks dude...![]()
The Cowboys are two games out with three games to go so realistically barring a minor miracle our season is toast. Actually not having a decent replacement for Romo doomed this team early in the season. It is now a three way race between the Eagles, Giants and Skins.I have not checked the Boys' board out in awhile.. Is anybody still hopeful for the division? We lose next week to AZ obviously. Boys need to start grooming a young QB. I feel Romo has 2 or 3 years left if he can stay healthy. The Cowboys are two games out with three games to go so realistically barring a minor miracle our season is toast.
