We'll be expecting him to start immediately and his presence should improve recruiting. This is very encouraging news...

The only problem was that last year's voted MVP was Mitch freaking Leidner..... Yeah you heard me.... The QB that could barely play the position. So Seth will hopefully accept a Redshirt because he knows he will start for the next 4 years.

I freaking hate Mitch Leidner. And am baffled he won MVP of this team... There was a better player SOMEWHERE. SOMEWHERE!!!!!

I am responding guys. As you call out this stuff. Just in the moderate stage. Seth will accept the redshirt (unless Mitch is down right terrible and they take off the redshirt like they did Philip Nelson). But I think he accepts it. Cause he could be a record setter for the Goph if he is a 4 year starter.

It's crazy how quick Claeys fired Limegrover. They were loyal to Kill for all those years and Limegrover is axed the second Claeys becomes HC. I don't think it was over the style offense since the read option is such a hit (we just lack a QB that can run it). They must have just flat out not gotten along. But also, it's strange how quick Seth Green committed after Limegrover left. Since Green should flourish in a read option.

What are your thoughts?

Green de-committed as a result of Oregon losing their OC, unless people are reading more into it. Oregon also had 2 other Freshman QBs coming in, so.... maybe he is looking to play either immediately, or within 1 year, and not wanting to compete for the job? Couple that, with being able to come "home." I think it had more to do with all of this, rather than Limegrover getting axed.

Not necessarily a bad thing. Hopefully, the kid can figure it out and transfer back as a junior.

Bummer indeed. But i think he was xfering because of grade issues as he almost didn't get accepted as a freshman. And the Gophs didn't use him as a RB. They flexed him all over the place and even considered moving him to CB.

Congratulations to the Golden Gophers for winning the Quick Lane Bowl!!! It looked grim at times but they pulled it off and broke a 7 game bowl losing streak. Defense won this game and deserve most of the credit. Great Job GOPHERS!!!

Mitch is what he is. He was our best option. The fault is finding/developing no one better. His inconsistencies were maddening, but he often didn't get help. He hits woli in hand in end zone and woli drops it. 4 points off board as we settled for 3

Hopefully next qb era will be better, but mn history isn't riddled with premier qb play
