Awesome Cal, thanks. I remember the "Ken Houston" game so well but the play I remembered was the one they are showing on this Post sports page, the pick 6 late by Brig Owens. I was in my mom's family room (I was 13) and when it happened I jumped up and in celebration my hand got scratched on the stucco ceiling.

Damn!!! If you remember seeing Brig Owens play you are one old Maryland Farmer. Do you remember watching Slinging Sammy too? :noidea: Actually I remember Brig well, that makes me an old Maryland Farmer too. Brig used to come into our pizza place when I was a teenager. Larry Brown came in once. I wore his number in high school. He was my MAIN man, when he walked in I got stage fright and couldn't talk. :trash:

Some game notes from Mike Jones

The Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys meet for the first time this season in a Monday Night Football matchup that carries significant implications within the NFC East. With a win, the Redskins (5-6) would take a ful-game lead over the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants, who are both 5-7. The Redskins hold tiebreakers over both the Eagles and Giants.

Now, here are some other things to look out for tonight:

>> The Redskins enter this game in search of back-to-back wins for the first time since Weeks 7 and 8 of the 2014 season. That win in Week 8 came at Dallas on Monday Night Football.

>> Washington enters with a 41-65-2 record against Dallas. The Cowboys have won three of their last four meetings with the Redskins.

>> Washington holds first place in the NFC East entering December for the first time since 1999. With a win tonight, Washington would extend its home winning streak to six games for the first time since the team did so in 1991.

>> A win would improve Washington’s divisional record to 3-1, ahead of the Eagles (2-2) and Giants (2-3).

>> This represents the 17th Monday Night Football meeting between the Redskins and Cowboys. That ties the Broncos and Raiders for the most-played matchup in Monday Night Football history.

>> The Redskins and Cowboys enter this game with 8-8 records against each other on Monday nights.

>> Washington’s defense seeks its fourth three-takeaway game of the season after doing so in Weeks 5, 6 and 12. That’s the most the Redskins have recorded since 2012’s six three-takeaway games.

>> Washington has six multiple-takeaway games, the most since the eight the defense notched in 2012.

>> Washington’s offense didn’t turn over the ball last game. The Redskins aim to extend that turnover-free streak to two games, which would mark a first since the 2012 offense went four games without a turnover.

>> After limiting the Giants to 33 rushing yards — the fewest allowed by the Redskins since 1990 at Indianapolis — Washington’s defense will try to continue its stingy ways against Dallas.

the history lesson is great but we need to focus on the cowboys because they can sting the hell out of us and all of last weeks "goodwill" will be flushed down the toilet

we need to slam the door on this or we will pay for it dearly

we win all our remaining NFC east games and we get a home playoff game if the team cant close that out then we deserve our corresponding top 10 draft pick

Perfect set of circumstances for yet another meaningful battle in Skins/Boys history.

Who could ask for anything more? Outside of a guaranteed win of course.

Division lead on the line. Both teams with something to prove. I expect a fight and battle. It always is.

Skins have the opportunity to handle their business and take a lead in the division. They are the authors of their future. What happens will define who this team is down the stretch.

Can't imagine this team is taking this game lightly.

Can't wait.

Goooooooo Skins!
