All the pundits are saying the Redskins will finish last again in the division and have a top 5 pick well not so fast my friends because I have a feeling we are in for a hell of a ride and will win the NFC East!!!!!

Even the Redskins admit they have work to do. What SM promised was a hard hitting team that you know you will have played hard against. I'd look for closer to the #5 pick then winning the NFC East. If McCloughan does a good job look for 2017 to be a good year.

Realistically, this is about a 5-6 win team, maybe with some very good luck we get to 7. Think about it guys, where are the elite, better yet top level players on the squad? What we currently have are a few very good players and a whole bunch of average guys. (You have to count the rookies as average until they prove otherwise) I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get objections here but ask yourselves this......if you had to identify our guys who are top ten at their position who would they be? That's looking at our team, but if you put your findings into context, that is looking at our schedule, how many of our upcoming opponents haven't gotten better during the off season? Right now the match ups are not in our favor!!

We have 2-3 top ten players on this team, then a handful of good players. Honestly, that's probably true with most teams. The difference with us is our bad players. They are at critical positions (QB , safety) and teams are only as good as their weakest link. But I agree we are probably a 5-7 win team. If KC becomes an average QB, we might make it to 8 wins.

Interesting assessment dude, very curious about the number of bad players you believe are on the team? I called them average, but bad? You definitely do not grade on a curve!

Maybe I'm a bit harsh, but until proven otherwise, I would put KC, Goldston, lavaou, and even Scherff and Moses in the bad category. Now Scherff and Moses are bad due to inexperience and should become better. I know I'm going to get arrow shot at me for this...

An 11-5 season or any W/L record that wins the NFC East title for the Skins would certainly bring some joy into my football fandom life. But finishing in last place in the NFC East the following year afterwards, as the Skins have done the 3 previous times they've made the playoffs in 05, 07, and 12. Doesn't really constitute getting the last laugh. Not for me. In fact it just adds fuel to my frustration fire as it shows the winning season the year before was likely a fallacy. Or the Skins FO/coaching staff find a new way to step on their own dick and screw it back up.

And that is exactly the reason that you hire someone like SM & take the long term approach that appears to be taking place at this time. Forget the RG3 nonsense - that will take care of itself one way or another shortly. This team appears to be getting younger, avoiding big name FAs, focusing on the lines, scouting better & truly looking to improve the entire team & not just a handful of the glamor positions.

It will take time, and I am basically with you on this one. I won't jump all over the team if they have a less than average record yet show signs that they can be good in a few years (I pretty much expect this). Only time will tell.

Ridiculous.

If everything is as spectacularly shitty, as it usually is with the skins, the team wins six games by virtue of overall roster improvement. The safety corps is better, the cbs are deeper, the o line is better, there corp is deeper, the war corps is deeper and more versatile.

If anything actually goes right : the defense isn't a sieve, the o line learns to block, Cousins doesn't throw multiple ints per game, this team wins 7-8 games.

If multiple things go right, it's up to 8-10.

Anything else is naysaying.
