That may be it. 20 cuts from 75 leaves 55 on the roster. After week one we'll need to cut another to activate TJ and then after week 4 cut another to activate Wolfe.

Biggest surprise? If I'm seeing right, Curtis Marsh makes the team so far. I thought he really got toasted by 2nd/3rd stringers on Th night.

I agree Carter is a way better DB at this point than Marsh .. Carter is all he ever will be granted but he is wayyyyy better than Doss ...the only thin I can figure is they think in time .

Marsh made the team because they want him on PS ...Carter of coarse is not ...That guy has to be the longest tenured RFA ever in NFL history .....Crazy if you think of his years.

My guess is that Marsh made the team for one week. After week one he will be gone as TJ comes back.

Unless he is gone sooner when we sign some other teams' castoffs tomorrow.

Garland is not a swing player ...I knew he might get cut ... The big reason for his cut IMO they said it after they first moved Garland to 2nd team .. They liked the nasty Max brought .... so in essence not mean and Nasty enough to be a Gibbs Scheme

Don't be surprised if he is named to the PS tomorrow.

I know a lot of guys were hoping Caldwell would be gone but I'm glad he wasn't cut. He's had a pretty solid pre-season and his contract runs through next year. Manning trusts him and it's obvious Oz does as well. We are deep at WR, and Caldwell is a 3 or a 4 on this roster. He'd be as high as a 2 on some rosters. Last year wasn't a great year for him, and he's not likely to get a lot of work behind DT and Sanders. But he's a viable option that defenses will likely overlook at points this season and I see a lot of value in that.

Garland can be on the PS - if not - the Broncos will hire him in some capacity - he is as well liked a player as I have ever seen inside Bronco land.

I would have taken Johnson over Nelson - I guess the Broncos went with speed.

Tony Carter made some plays - I'm sorry to hear the bell toll for him this season. The Broncos didn't draft two CBs for nothing.

With Ball - you can be sure the Broncos are still trying to trade him - every one is wanting to see if the problem they are trying to fix by trading for Ball isn't solved off the waiver wire first. The Broncos aren't going to give someone away free - they had guys talking trade for him in the last few days. If he stays - he is very good depth -= and the Broncos will likely need it. Bibbs played special teams pretty well in the preseason from my vantage point - I still think the Broncos want him on their roster.

No undrafted college free agent made the team this year - breaking the long record.

Few things.

1. Tony Carter has a really nice message thanking the Denver fans and staff.
2. Zaire Anderson was very upset. Thought he did everything he could to make the roster which he probably did, just a hard spot for a rookie who we can probably hide on the PS for a bit. May have to activate him before long however. I told him to go talk to Brandon Marshall about making his way off the PS...
3. Remember there are waiver claims so this may not be or finalized roster for week 1.
4. Pretty happy with our choices, not much surprised by here.. I had figured Tony would probably once again make it, but not shocked as we didn't wanna store Doss on the PS.. Doss needs work but has a lot of good upside.
5. Zaire Anderson actually may have surprised me the most , but at the same time it was tough to make this roster as an undrafted LB this year. I don't think we have seen the last of Zaire on the field.
6. About damn time we cut Ben Garland.
7. Trevor Simien really surprised me.. I can't say I am sold on the guy being an NFL QB by any means but I will say that he has done much better then I thought he would do. I know its 3rd string teams he is going against but he proved he deserves the shot to be seen a bit more in his developing.
8. Wouldn't be shocked if we sign a TE and cut a WR still. I hope it isn't Fowler.
9. Josh Bush probably is on the roster this week for TJ Ward. I don't mind Bush.. He is a decent depth S. Even had an INT for us last year.
10. I am actually pretty happy we didn't trade or cut Montee Ball. He may be hanging on by a thread right now or still being shopped, but why take a 7th for him if we can afford the roster spot? Knowshon Moreno was in a similar situation after his 4th season on the team and that is when he started playing his best. Now Moreno was a bit more impressive then Ball his first two years, but Moreno had that time between year 3 and 4 ater the ACL where we weren't sure if he was gonna hang on.
11. I hope Knowshon signs somewhere during the season. I don't think he is done...
12. I love you guys!

Aww ! #12 is the best ;). I take it Moreno got cut? I think Zaire release was just the product of too much talent at that position. Hopefully they get him on PS. T.Carter just never stayed healthy enough to establish himself. I think the talent is there though if in a. Liked what Siemian did with opportunities and deserved a spot over Dysert if they were to keep 3 Qbs. Last but not least...I think Bush has played better than Marsh who Denver must think has a decent upside. I didn't see it though. Good size though so maybe.

1) Not sure why I am so upset ( relatively speaking ) about Carter - he had some spunk, and was great in that classic comeback game vs the Chargers a few years back

10) I think Knowshon always showed flashes of greatness and fire, he was just never healthy enough early on to get in a groove ..... Montee runs slights better than Dan Marino .... I think Knowshon should take a year off and heal, and coming firing back next season

11) lol ... DC, the feeling is mutual !!

And also blew it against the Ravens in the playoffs. People always blame Moore for screwing up but forget that Tony Carter was just as much at fault on that play too, Moore was Carter's safety help but Carter also got killed pretty bad by Jacoby Jones on that play too.

Carter also screwed us against the Patriots 2 years ago, Welker was fielding a punt and let it go over head and that punt just happened to hit a running Tony Carter which New England recovered and won the game in OT. Now that was more wrong place wrong time but I can still blame him for not paying attention to where the ball was.

I never felt Moore, or the defense for that matter, was to blame for that game

It was one play

The offense went into a shell and choked for 2 overtimes
