No more Gallo for me . Al fin de samana Peace and out.
I'm really not understanding why Gallo and LJ are getting playing time in such a tight pennant race while veterans sit on the bench.
I'm wondering if JD told Banny to put them in.
At least Choo is totally locked in right now. Hopefully either Fielder or Beltre can get it back together and start hitting for the stretch run. The middle of our lineup has to produce.
I agree. Tonight's loss has the feel of a mental one instead of a physical one... just stupid and totally avoidable mistakes likely cost us.The Gallo in the starting lineup experiment not a success so far. He had zero momentum coming in here. He is a pinch hitter. Huge talent that needs more work. Bringing LuJax in a one run game another headscratcher. What was Mitch thinking? We had a lot of balls that just did not go our way. Too many walks and Cron got it done for them.
Ok Dutch get it done tomorrow. Hope our bats wake up. Like to see a Napoli sighting too
This potentially hurts a lot worse than the loss tonight... NOT good.Kela out with elbow discomfort, MRI didnt show anything and he did not make the trip

He has always swung at garbage but his skillsBeltre needs to be more selective. All year he's swung at more garbage than he normally does. Terrible AB.
I posted the actual text about 2 pages before. Sorry for some of you but I am not on the Bannywagon right now. I am still on the fence with him. He has made some absolutely idiotic decision. Venable makes a pitcher throw around 6 pitches per AB and in his last 2 ABs has walked. To play a guy in hope of getting his confidence back at the expense of the rest of the team is ridiculous. He has absolutely wasted the reason we got Napoli as the ABs he has gotten were in situations not intended for him to bat. And how many more of our better pitchers to we need to wipe out pitching them in situations where they should have been resting. We see very little of the rest of the pen. I said on the Padres post there are some good things about him. I will stop there but if this was RW making these decisions we would be having a field day but for some reason we seem to cut this guy some slack. Why Joey Gallo is back in the Texas Rangers’ starting lineup
Is that right Jeff? And I'd like to win the lottery. This is nonsense.

On the Maddux question I am not sure. I know we would wonder about that even when RW was the manager. But it is a good and legitimate question.I couldn't agree with you more, re: your comment on Mr Gallo. If we were 12 games behind and just playing out the season, I'd be on board. And like you, why did you trade for Nap if we're going to waste an entire position/AB on a guy who hasn't hit his weight at any level in 3 months is ridiculous? And to make matters even worse, per se, Gallo is playing out of position.
Kela and Tolleson have certainly been overused, at least it appears to some/most of us. So, we're on the same page here. But let me ask you this, how much input does Maddux get when pitching changes are made? I'd think a lot. Especially since Banister is new to our league/team and position, you'd think he'd lean quite heavily on someone as experienced/respected as Mike. So is he? If not, why not? Or are the two of them on the same page?
Lastly, Washington never overachieved with a lineup like the one we put on the field for most of the first half IMO. He somehow kept the teams confidence up, never quit on them, and consequently, here we are in a pennant chase. So, cutting him so slack makes sense to me.
