As soon as I heard this rumour I instantly thought of Any Given Sunday, when the exact same thing happened to Willie Beaman LOL.

While I wont say these guys are tanking it in an effort to get Griffin out of the lineup, I will say that if these guys actually DONT like him, I cant see a reason for them to give maximum effort either. Its one thing to show up every day and go through the motions, its another to actually give your best effort. And I do believe that the O-line like many of us, would work harder for a QB that they actually had faith in. There is something to be said for a QB that has the ability to rally his guys around him, and indications are that QB1 is lacking in this department.

If you are actually buying into this Shark, which I highly doubt, I would have to say I can no longer pay any credence in what you have to say. In no way, shape or form would an offensive lineman playing for the skins sabotage his job in order to have another player replaced. This is just absurd and someone talking out the side of their mouth. You said, "I do think they are tired of having to play better than the average player", really? If any linemen we have are tired of playing better than the average player, than GTFOOH already! I don't want you on the team if "average" is all you strive for. All this RG3 talk and negativity that surrounds the Skins is stale, old and 99% bullshit imo.

Hail to the Fucking Redskins!!!

Let me ask this question before I make further comments on your post. While I agree with the majority of what you've written, can you clarify what was meant by your statement "I can no longer pay any credence in what you have to say" I took it to mean on the subject, but not wanting to guess I thought that I would ask. Thanks!

One I have stated I dont think guys are tanking it.

two.. .Simply put, job or not, most human beings on this planet will tend to put out more effort at a given task if they infact like and or respect the boss they are working for. So in this case, I do think that if the players tend to feel that they take the wrap alot more than they should in order to protect the QBs reputation, I can see as to where they might not give the extra effort you see guys giving for some other QBs around the league.

Or to put it in another context, if you thought your supervisor was a dick, how often are you going to work (free) overtime to bail him out especially knowing that when things DO go right he will take all the credit, but if you miss a deadline he is the first one to blame YOU for the screw up. That doesnt mean you are not going to do the requirements of your job, but you also likely are not going to go out of your way to do any more than the exact requirements as long as you know that this guy is going ot be the boss for the foreseeable future.

The content of your response indicates Griffin if the boss you are referring too which is not the case at all. All players have the same boss who signs pay checks so that is the only person they have to answer to. Whether or not the OL respects Griffin or not, they must do their job to the best of their ability. These jobs are far too precious not to strive to be the best and in no way would I think any NFL player would jeopardize that by being selfish enough to lay down so to speak.

How much longer do the Skins hold on to this guy? It's obvious that he is not liked in the organization. Kind of like Ryan Leaf's last year with the Chargers. During one of their first games with the Raiders, it looked like the Chargers' O line knew a blitz was coming and basically gave the Raiders a free lane to take out Leaf. He was pulverized and not one Charger O lineman offered his hand to help him up.

Again who says they are laying down?? Its funny that the only possible explanations for the dramatic difference in line play when RG3 is in there vs the other two QBs has come down to RG3 is just NOT a very good QB (mind you I said QB, not Athlete). Its also strange that no one wants to even contemplate that who is behind the line can have a direct effect on the mindset and therefore the production OF said line. I guess we should get a pretty good indicator in a little over 30 minutes though. Im not sure what it will indicate, but its going to point to something damn it. :)

By the way you are splitting terms with the term boss. So lets call RG3 the team lead who wants to take the credit when the project goes well, and deflect blame when things go wrong.

HTTR beaches!!!

Do they dislike him as a person or as a player?

The guess would be as a leader, possible as a player. But hell could be all three. My take is if there is any substance to this its more like I said, they are possibly tired of getting the blame for all the struggles, and watching this guy get all the credit if the offense does well.
