Any weekend plans?

Friday- Work until 2:00 (get off work early in the summer at work)-- Have to run home go get a family picture that my parents planned on xmas day (ugh, can't wait to get it over with) Then head back to Iowa City, so Friday night is pretty much shot.

Sat- Have to do some vacuuming. I have a side job once a month where I vacuum 8 condo buildings. Started the job in college and kept it ever since. It is good/easy side job money... Then go bowling.

Sunday- Finish vacuuming from whatever I don't do on sat. No plans yet.

Boring, but what are you doing?

Well for me it is jam packed with family time. My grandma just moved to town this week so the whole family is wanting to do some kind of get together. Throw in then my mother-in-law is in town as well so pretty much that will dominate the weekend. I'm betting I can convince them to let me watch the Bronco game tomorrow though.

Beyond that then I have work Sunday morning until noon. After that I am hoping the wife will let me go golfing with my dad as I need to get a few more practice rounds in as I have a big golf tournament coming up in a month. My torn Achilles/having a baby kind of cut my training for golf this summer a bit short.

Quiet weekend here. My grandson has his first football scrimmage of the year - he's now in 8th grade. Sushi for dinner tonight. Watch game tomorrow night. Church on Sunday. Mow the lawn.

Yes, I live a boring life. (But it's really nice to be home!)

I love mowing the lawn BTW ... very therapeutic

Last week, after 40 odd years of go-karts with pull starts and push mowers with pull starts, I had had enough ... The push mower wasn't starting, and although I fixed it and tweaked now for years, I had an epiphany - LUCAS, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS ??

So quietly put the old mower in the barn, and bought myself a new electric start push mower - just turn the key and go ...

I have never looked so forward to cutting the grass !!

Other than that, I am putting a hanging light on the outside porch off the kitchen .... There was no light there previously ( 150 year old house ), so last week I did the wiring, and this weekend I'll install the light . .

I did my grocery shopping tonight after work, got some essentials for my new dog (rescued pit named Maya, 3 year old cream color). Work tomorrow till 4pm, drive to Austin and pick her up at 7pm, stay at the folks overnight, then back to Houston Sunday morning where we'll swim for a bit, then back to the house so she'll start adjusting to the place. Sunday evening and Monday after workout in the morning is all school after that.

You should have stopped by - you probably drove within 150 yards of my house if you came down I25 and exited off of County Line Road.

Sitting here watching the Rockies playing in Pittsburgh (it's a Jon Gray day). I had the opportunity to go to a game in Pittsburgh in May. Really impressive park. I'm a big fan of Coors Field, but Pittsburgh did a better job of highlighting the city than Denver did highlighting the mountains.

Friday - Working. Get off at midnight. Probably earlier since it's dead tonight. Gonna get in some more playstation time while my roommates are out of town and the wife and kids are asleep.

Saturday - Change this damned flat tire that I've been putting off doing. Work at 6pm til close. Could be a madhouse, with the Ravens and Skins playing tomorrow night.

Sunday - 1st FF draft at around noon. Then, off to work from 3 to 10.

Monday - Off all day, then my main FF draft is live at 7pm. Wish me luck.
