Crazy, seems that I wrote this article cause we feel the exact same way regarding these QB's.

QB is just one reason why the Redskins are a not a good team. They decided to give RG3 one more chance, which is ok by me. One more chance isn't one more chance unless you name him the starter. If they're 0-5 and RG3 is throwing for 150 yards and getting sacked 7 times a game, his chance will be over, for good. Then they can decide who steps up and what direction to take. Cousins or McCoy are unlikely to lead this team to the playoffs from game 1 or game 6.

I do understand why Griffin is getting one more chance. But for the life of me, I don't understand at all why colt is even in the conversation. Everybody knows what colt is. He is a career back up at best. However, the jury is still out on KC. He may never amount to anything, but he has shown skills. His INTs were killers, but if every young QB that threw a rash of INTs early in their careers were tossed aside, the HOF would not have players like Bradshaw and Aikman or a future member by the name of Manning. I am in no way saying KC is of their caliber, but young players make mistakes and many grow out of them. In fact, isn't that what we all are hoping Griffin does?

All you can do is hope that RG3 improves his play or he's out of town. i trust SM to get this franchise right if he is allowed to do what a GM is supposed to do.

exactly jy19. What was the point of playing Colt last year? All it did was take away from KC's development. I feel that Rg3 is going to be handed the starting QB job this year. I think its bs but what are you going to do. Lets hope for the best.

Sure, but we all know Danny boy has itchy sacking people fingers so who knows? i want to see the team improve but we've been fed sacks of lying shit for years so I'm now a cynic.

Here's some inside info for those of you I warmly refer to as YoungSkins. "Youngskins"...the great REDSKINS fans who started following the team post Y2K. The QB position in Washington will be the most eyeballed position in 2015. "Word to your mother" YoungSkins, it's been most scrutinized position EVERY SEASON since the days of my youth watching "Billy the Kid's" REDSKINS!

Poor QB play in Washington= abusive, insulting, foul and insulting comments from fan base

Good QB play in Washington = sincere, warm, kind and heartfelt comments from fan base

Great QB play in Washington = idol comments from fan base

So, what will the QB of the Washington REDSKINS 2015 give us? Who knows, but whoever it is I'll back him 100%. My experience says KC give us the best chance to be the "Good QB", but if RG3 can pull a Criss Angel out of his ass and show he has an NFL QB skill set...then I'm good with that too.

Bottom line...HTTR my brothers and sisters it's good to be a REDSKINS fan!

Boy I couldn't agree more with the earlier posts here. Way too much was made of Kirk's body language, he knew that was his shot and he blew it with a pick. How can you expect a young QB NOT to be down? Also agree they need to give Griff one more shot but there is no question Kirk moved the team better. And finally I totally agree that there is no good reason for Colt to be in the discussion other than a head coach trying to save his job by squeaking out 2 more wins this year with a QB who won't kill them with sacks or turnovers. But that is a really stupid reason to start the guy, we are building not competing right now.

I understand your pt @ McCoy. However - you have to look at this from a coach's perspective. Just about any coach is going to try to win every game (ditto for players) - regardless of the record, whether the team is in rebuilding mode, etc. It is just their nature. Also - if a coach plays in rebuilding mode it may be good for the team long term, but that long term may not include the current coach. The coach is in a difficult position in these type of situations.

You alluded to the head coach in your reply & almost seem to be implying that others should influence the starting QB decision. If so - I couldn't disagree more. You certainly don't want Snyder to make this decision & the GM's basic job is to obtain talent - not make on the field decisions including who starts at various positions. SM could certainly make suggestions in this area (& ultimately fire Gruden) but neither he nor Snyder should be telling the coaches who should start.

Several folks have mentioned Cousins ability to move the team, and appear to point out his INTs as his only real flaw. However - people also fail to point out Cousins inability to date to perform in clutch situations. Save for a handful of plays in that Ravens game several years ago the guy has never shown the ability to perform when it really counts & makes critical mistakes at critical times that are not just limited to INTs.

Can this change? Sure but he has to prove it. As I have stated multiple times - I am good with either QB (or even another one if they both fail) but let's make sure that we provide an accurate picture for both QBs. Until proven otherwise - both are flawed & have a lot to prove - it is put up or shut up time for both.

Yeah I get that but sometimes coaches have a long term plan even if there is a possibility that it does not include them. To me it's idiotic to even consider starting Colt, even with the turnovers Kirk is a better option.

And nobody else should be making this decision other than the head coach.

colt is in there because we (including writers) have no idea of KC development in OTA's. Pre-season will be interesting. if KC is doing his thing he should put up some good numbers against backups IMO
Keeping colt for insurance is fine. Having him take reps away from KC is totally different. There are many in the NFL that still feel KC has a chance to be a productive starter. How many feel that way about Colt?

I understand your pt. However - it is probably unlikely that a 1st time coach in his 1st year is going to take this approach unless the organization makes it totally clear that he has a very long leash (which nobody would believe for last year's Redskins). This is more likely the approach of a long time coach who is in his first year with a team. Not saying that either are the correct approach - just reality.

giving KC competition. Jay Gruden and SM are big on each position having competition. no entitlements.

He has competition. He's trying to compete with Griffin for the starting job (although the playing field isn't level). Again, everyone knows what Colt is. We only have one season left to figure out what KC is. Don't squander it.
