What are your plans for the weekend?
Odd that it fell ontge same day of the year, or was last year's a day or so late (or early)?

Does it also make sense, and cover all cases, to say "Happy Sons and Daughters Day" too?
Yes, because they are both kids of the father.
No, because fathers are male and so are sons.
This is the case that I was thinking, when I thought it made sense.
Does the son also have to be a father, in "Happy Sons Day"?
I know, I ask a lot of question about gender words and their usages. One of the first conversations we had on here was why someone will refer to someone else, even not related to them, as "Son", but not to a female who doesn't have a familial relationship, as "Daughter".
Girls call them sisters when they aren't related.
Happy Mothers' Day 2016.
