Thought I'd take the easy way out and list some QB's on some downtime. I'll leave Treff with the hard stuff right now... after all, it is baseball season!
1. Andrew Luck - pieces are in place, swapping Nicks for Andre and Trent for Gore. Kid just keeps getting better, and everyone was right when we called him the next Peyton Manning.
2. Aaron Rodgers - still a monster, always a monster. Not much to say, other than he's my #2, not #1. I called him to hit 50 TD last year, came up short and this is what he gets for it!
3. Russell Wilson - Jimmy Graham creates an obvious upgrade for RW. Doug Flutie 2.0 is pretty safe pick, considering his running tendencies. You don't see him getting hit often, and he's still getting better.
4. Tony Romo - huh, you say? Actually, I did too, but here's where he falls. DeMarco leaving can hurt him, but I think the opposite happens. Time's running out for this group, and Dez is in for a monster season.
5. Ben Roethlisberger - this offense is high octance, explosive material. I don't see Big Ben falling off from last year. He and Haley are really clicking.
6. Peyton Manning - fifty Omaha set hut... oozy feeling in my toes... nothing beats that new car smell... chicken parm you taste so good...
7. Drew Brees - not sure why I have him so high. They seem to be transforming into a running machine, but I still think some big play threats are there... little concerned with the dome/outdoors spits.
8. Eli Manning - another season in the offense, ODB a year into development, Cruz back healthy? Vereen can be sneaky help too. I think Eli balls out this year.
9. Matt Ryan - I'm writing off last season. Hope that O line gets better, but I still think Matty Ice can chuck it. Is this Julio's year to dominate? Does Roddy have a healthy season in him?
10. Ryan Tannehill - keeps getting better, and has better pieces around him now. I wish I didn't like him so much, as he wears one of my mortal enemy uniforms!
11. Matthew Stafford - he's kind of got Favre/Romo sydrome recently. He "should" be great, but there always seems to be something that makes him blah.
12. Cam Newton - I like his big targets, the offense seems to have blood flow now, and he's a beast that a car accident can't stop.
13. Phillip Rivers - walk out year for him, he's gotta give it his all to get a new contract, or go out in a bang if he out of the blue retires. Consistency is the thing with him, starts off well, but can he maintain?
14. David Carr - please god, don't let the Raiders progress past the Bills! (even though they beat us last year). Bothers me that this kid was drafted in the second round.
15. Carson Palmer - gotta stay healthy Carson...
16. Tom Brady - chip on his shoulder after his suspension?
17. Andy Dalton - the Red fella is a solid contributor, but can't quite seem to hit greatness.
18. Joe Flacco - Joe Cool, do what you do.
19. Teddy Bridgewater - AP can only help...
20. Jay Cutler - what a frustrating, frustrating man
21. Robert Griffin - did I mention frustrating? Hardest man to rank.
22. Colin Kaepernick - 2nd hardest man to rank.
23. Alex Smith - not a fan, but Maclin will at least get a WR on the TD board.
24. Blake Bortles - seems to have confidence at least... is Hurns for real?
25. Jaemis Winston - young offense, but talent is there.
26. E.J. Manuel - this may be way off, but I don't see Matt Cassell taking this job over.
27. Nick Foles - I worry about the division, and his receivers.
28. Ryan Fitzcrapstick - I expect him to win the job, or take over before Halloween.
29. Josh McCown - Johnny Clipboard
30. Sam Bradford - a health issue, if you could guarantee me 16 games, he's probably pushing Flacco.
31. Marcus Mariota - tough spot for the rookie.
32. Ryan Mallett - again, a health issue.
Have at 'er...
