Do you think we should have kept Haslett because we were afraid we couldn't get a guy this good?

You might want to hold off on the gloating until we sign him. Because 48 hours ago it was looking like we may have actually found someone worse than haz based on the moaning on this site.

I don't think he gets away without them signing him he and Scot McCloughan have worked together

Since some of you missed it Shark's argument was we should have kept Haz, an average DC in his eyes, because the guy we replaced him with could be worse. I said that was nonsense, you should never be afraid to upgrade.

I agree, you should never be afraid to upgrade. Just make sure you can upgrade. Mid week, it was questionable that we were upgrading. Change for change's sake rarely works in coaching. Now if we can land Fangio, I'm all for it.

New report out that Fangio might have meeting with the Bears first, then Redskins. If true, not good for us.

Actually my argument still stands that irrespective of who we bring in, the defense likely WILL finish worse this coming season. And here is why I say this... because we are still in a state of flux on the offense. Now instead of having ANY sort of stability, we are going to be changing on both sides of the ball. Haz should have been kept to allow us to FIX the offense. 50% of this teams problem has been a lack of stability.

New coach, new system and a bunch of new players usually equals a transition year.
